This is a good story so far but how messed up! Someone is exploring their identity and you immediately start them on an irreversible transformation? Why? If she totally hates it, it still her life from now on. There is no going back as you can with more conventional methods of exploration. Even if the effects of the drug are paused, they can't be reversed so she is stuck somewhere between being male and female for the rest of her life. This doesn't sound like the cautious support of a parent trying to help their child. It sounds like an oversealous, unscrupulous experimenter seeing nothing but an easily coerced test subject. What about the ethics of experimenting on a family member; experimenting on a minor? Had it been me, I would have jumped at the chance, even begged for it.
