Seriously, the 2nd dress was $2800. That's not "slightly" over budget. It's almost 2x the budget! Why did you show her that?? All being said, tho, she found a perfect dress. Elegant and timeless (and we'll within her budget). Blessings to her and her fiance.

Not without trying. Notice how the consultant complimented her in that second dress (and only in that dress). Also, when the bride voiced her doubt, she immediately turned her to her family, hoping that they will say it's gorgeous. Girl was working hard for that commission😏...

"A little over budget." - I knew before the amount was posted that it would be WAY over budget. In fact, as soon as the mom mentioned that, for the right dress, she would go a little over budget, the consultant/David would automatically bring an over-budget dress (not even trying to stay within budget). SHAME on them for almost always doing this! They must have many, many dresses within her budget.

HAAAAAA, we were married in 1990. the 1980's massive wedding dresses were still around. The bow on the back of my dress could cover a village, no regrets, but I wouldn't wish it on anyone 😆

i'm astonished, i don't usually like the fitted gowns because they almost always cling to the less-flattering parts of the body but man this dress LOVES her! and it's under budget as well, what a match made in heaven.

I'd love to know what that consultant's salary is if she thinks that £1335 is just a LITTLE over the £1500 budget. I would never visit that shop because they pull this stunt on many of their shows.

Episodes with this consultant frustrate me. She's nice, but overlooks so many necessary details to make appointments more successful. She should have had the bride put all that hair into an easy loose bun, or at least a ponytail so the dress wasn't covered by it. She ignores keywords, in this case "simple, timeless, no bling", and brings out dresses She would like see on the bride, rather than what is being asked for.

My parents got married in 2000 and my mum’s dress was beautiful. It’s definitely a timeless dress that would still be considered beautiful today. It’s very medieval like with lovely bell sleeves. Reminds me of maid Marian or Merida from brave. I do love it but It’s not what I would want to wear it to my wedding. I would love to try on her dress though but sadly it’s on the other side of the world in my gran’s house. I’ve only ever seen it in the wedding photos. I’m not sure why she left it there, you’d think you would be more attached to your wedding dress if you kept it and would want to be able to look at it.

It's NOT the commission. If the bride doesn't buy the dress because it is too expensive, the commission is £0. I actually think she wasn't expecting her to like it in the whole dress, but the dress had special details that would give the consultant a better handle on what exactly the bride wanted. Notice how the next dress (we've been shown) is the "one."' The consultant honed in on exactly her style from the strategic dress.
