Was coming to say this....They do it all the time on this version of the show and it's just wrong and infuriating!

When you give a budget for the dress don’t open the door to a bit higher because they’re there to sell. The higher the better.

Did we watch the SAME video? Her budget was 1500 pounds, and the dress she purchased was 1036. pounds. I believe she was 464. pounds UNDER BUDGET. 🎉

@juliej5917 I think they were referring to the 2nd dress. The Ian Stuart gown that was just under £3000. This version does have a tendency to pull dresses that are over budget. They honestly shouldn't have done that but it's also for tv..so..yeah.

Terrible choice of the consultant to show her the second dress double her price and did not have any of her requirements. What about if the bride would have loved it? Shame on this consultant.

I hate it when David Emmanuel' consultants consistently go over the bride's budget just like he does. I thumbs down every time any time they do this on the show.

I loved it too! I was so surprised they all laughed at it - it was truly such a classy, timeless dress that would’ve looked amazing on her with some tailoring.

Bad news, bride: when you look back in twenty years, your dress will not look “timeless.” Your dress will look DATED, just like your Nan’s and Mum’s do to you now. Your daughter, if you have one, will writhe at the idea of wearing your dress. That’s life. In thirty or forty years, it MIGHT be “vintage.” And complaints about the puffy sleeves are hilarious in David Emmanuel’s bridal salon. The puffy sleeves are pure Princess Di.

IF someone chooses or has to wear an already worn gown, at least update it, redo it, SOMETHING! Although my sister older than me DID buy a designer cotoure gown ( she was older than the rest of us when her husband to be came home from overseas) It was a column gown with a long train and it was worn by a sister-in-lar a few years later and our niece a NUMBER of years later, and they ALL looked gorgeous in it..really. Just buy your own updated style of veil and headpiece and shoes, hairstyle, makeup, whatever works for you. that you can afford.
