I'm so impressed with your Indian rail vlogs! They're incredibly detailed and well-produced, far better than anything else I've seen from other Western rail vloggers. I really enjoyed watching every minute of them. If not yet, You should definitely experience Vistadome coaches attached to trains running in some of India's scenic routes. If you're open to it, I would suggest the Visakhapatnam-Araku valley section. It's one of the most beautiful train journeys in India, and the Vistadome coaches offer stunning panoramic views.

Speed for these trains have been restricted to 130 kmph for the last thirty years. Locomotives are powerful to pull these trains at much higher speeds but are restricted due to track conditions. This is the issue, no one wants to do the hard dirty work of improving tracks, creating drainage infrastructure, washing trains daily and train locals on how to keep trains clean. Many Indian trains have open windows so people throw garbage not realizing how hard it’s to clean and maintain tracks. We need to find low cost AC to ensure trains are sealed fully. There’s so much potential to do better and more. What is exciting is electrification of tracks and almost 90% of the country has been covered by now.

One observation is not correct - 12301/12305 Howrah-New Delhi Rajdhani Express trains have 2 1st AC coaches (H1 & H2), which I believe is the maximum for any domestic IR train. From what I know the India-Bangladesh trains all have 4 1st AC coaches.

The opening sounds of train announcement was 👌, especially considering i just had seen @nonstop eurotrip’s same line journey with crap of a song as opening sound. The automatic door is an abomination, the least they cud do is close them after the train has crossed the platform, a man wants to roam in platform. U said u had good sleep- i guess u were sleepwalking at 3 at night.

9:47 yes Indian trains are over-crowded during the festive season due to "without-ticket" passengers occupying reserved seats, but as an Indian I'm hopeful that we shall soon learn to follow rules and buy tickets and then itself board the trains, we shall also develop the habit to keep our country clean and become world-class

As far as the compressed gas cylinders blue is nitrogen and grey is carbon dioxide and they're fairly permanently mounted so I would guess they're part of a fire suppression system for the kitchen where using water on a grease fire would be suicidally catastrophic because of the napalm like results.

There are total 27 - 30 Rajdhani Express runs on Indian Railway network. And do you know why they all called Rajdhani Express?? Because the connects each state Capital to National Capital ( New Delhi ) . This Mumbai Rajdhani connects Mumbai which is State of Maharashtra Capital to New Delhi and so on ...There is one more Rajdhani runs by Central Railway between New Delhi to Mumbai ( CSTM ) takes a different route than this one which operated by Western Railway..

The term Rajdhani means capital in hindi. These trains connect the national capital, Delhi with state capitals. For example, Mumbai is the capital of the state Maharashtra.

From 22:05, you can see the bunks for staff. Maybe, there was more staff than usual or a shift change. Those sleeping on the floor will probably get out of the train at the next station.

If you're still in Delhi, do try the metro. Or the new Rapid Rail/Namo Bharat. The current operational strech is only 17kms long, actual strech under construction is 82kms and will start in 2025

First AC is expensive and its fares are at par with that of airlines. Besides first AC are mostly captured by government employees majority of them from railways itself.

Can passengers get food from the Hot Buffet Car? or does it serve only staff who then bring food to passengers in their cars? I assume there is no restaurant/café car where you can sit down to eat? The blue cylinders would be nitrous oxyde in western world, but syspect they don't follow standrads(and clear labels of content would have to be very visible). (light blue could be oxygen). Also, later in you video when you pwk past them, the screws holding cylinders in place extend way past and I could see passengers getting badly scratched while walking by. It showed electric elements for heating pots, so not sure if they have any gas stoves or gas hot water heaters. Not very "first class" when you are exposed to crews sleeping on the floor. I wonder if they were just kitchen staff hence sleeping in the kitchen car.

That ac hot buffet car does not serve passengers as a cafe, it functions merely as a kitchen for passengers of first class only ( food for 2 tier ac and 3 tier ac is loaded on each coach as prepared meal like in flights). Hence you see staff sleeping on floor. HE surely would have asked to record it on camera, generally passengers do not pass through that kitchen car unless some emergency...hence no worries of any screws that you saw extending.

That kitchen is accessible to staff only. Maybe, he asked to film, that's why he was allowed. As for why they're sleeping on cardboards, I've no clue. From 22:05, you can see the sleeping beds for staff. Maybe, there was more staff than usual (sometimes can happen when the shifts change).

that ac hot buffet car is not for the passengers. they cook food there for first AC class only. there are beds for the staff but I have no idea why the staff was sleeping on the floor... may be they had stuff kept on the beds or overstaffed. the concept of restaurant cars is not practical in these trains as they carry a huge number of passengers and have many coaches, so a single restaurant car would make no sense. the food is served at the seats.

I love how you commented who says Indian trains are crowded and then proceeded to show people sleeping on cardboard on the floor. I also really appreciated the shot of the open sewage canal the size of the Chicago river followed shortly by reporting the temperature as 93° F. That must have made for a unique olfactory experience. I think your videos are as close as I'm going to get to India. As far as food service goes it doesn't matter if the food is peeled, boiled fried, or whatever the second it gets touched by contaminated dishes or hands it's hello hepatitis.

Hmm.....seems like the excuses people used to give for not coming to India are reducing. Thanks for the feedback. 1.) That was the staff sleeping on the floor. Normally, passengers aren't even allowed access to the pantry car. Heck until I saw this video, I didn't even know that the pantry car had normal sleeper berths for the staff. 2.) That ""Open Sewage Canal" is actually the Barapullah Nala, which was a seasonal rivulet that flows into the Yamuna river. It got dirty due to the illegal garbage dumping from the slums. An effort under a standalone program already cleaned part of the Nala between 2014 and 2018, including part with the slums, now connecting them to a new sewage line. And now, with the Namami Gange program (one of the top 10 Global Flagship Environmental Restotration programs as per the UN) moving onto the next phase i.e. Cleaning River Yamuna, this entire Nala will be clean in a few years (just like the hundred+ other nala that were cleaned under that program). In short, those reasons you mentioned are about to be history. Please try and find some new ones.

Otherwise, like I previously mentioned and was shown in the video: they do have proper berths for the staff and the staff was indeed sleeping on those berths. You didn't find another reason dude. It is the same reason you gave last time. C'mon man! Try harder. I am sure that with your skills in nitpicking, you'll surely find another new set of reasons to "not come to India".
