I'm Jason, a full-time British Travel Vlogger and KZbinr who's been to 61 countries. I've been travelling around the world full-time since 2017.
I have travel series' from many of the world's best (and least) known destinations. I filmed the first vlogs on my channel in the summer of 2016 after spending a year living in China. A proper solo trip around Eastern Europe followed after graduating from University in the summer of 2017, taking me to Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Kosovo. This marked the start of my efforts to turn vlogging into a full-time job.
After that European trip I explored much of Asia: visiting India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Pakistan, the Philippines, South Korea and Kazakhstan.
I have also travelled to North Africa and the Middle East fairly extensively over the last five years, filming videos in Turkey, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Israel and Palestine.
I've travelled to North America just once as a KZbinr, visiting Mexico in 2021. Though I have been to both the USA and Canada, this was as a child on family holidays.
In 2022, I took my first trip to Sub Saharan Africa, visiting Kenya and Tanzania, before heading to the Middle East, stopping in Dubai and Lebanon. Europe followed, covering both the Greek and Turkish sides of Cyprus, and afterwards going back to Italy for the second time to cover Milan and Sicily. I then visited the Caribbean for the first time, covering the Dominican Republic, before heading to both Brussels and Amsterdam, then covering Taiwan and the Philippines in Asia. I finished off the year with a trip around Morocco.
I started my travels in 2023 by finally visiting Paris, taking the Eurostar from London. I then headed over to Qatar for a few days, before heading to Asia, with videos following from India, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, Mongolia, Thailand and Sumatra (Indonesia). I began 2024 by revisiting Bangladesh and India.

Hey man, dk if you're aware but Mumbai is currently undergoing an entire mega transformation with massive infrastructure projects under construction all at once, which you would've noticed in the city, and which may seem a bit chaotic now, but in 5-10 years, trust me this city will be up there with the best .. Just read about the scale of development happening here, cheers..

Mumbai is definitely a very interesting city. However I believe it is probably also a very intense and super hectic city to travel because of extreme traffic, dangerous driving everywhere you look, overcrowding (both with people and buildings), and pollution. I’m curious to know why Mumbai was your favourite Indian city instead of more relaxed Indian cities like Goa, Shimla, or even Madurai?

Places to eat at in Mumbai: *1. Elco Pani puri - (area - Bandra west in Mumbai)* - One of the best Pani puris in town. Very clean & hygienic. They use bottled mineral water to make these. So very safe to eat Pani Puris at this place. *2. Sardar Pav Bhaaji - (area - Tardeo in Mumbai)* - The best and the most buttery Paav Bhaaji on Planet Earth. *3. Bade Miyan - Late night place - is open till 3 am or so (area - near Taj hotel & the Gate way of India in Mumbai)* A late night place, patrons eat in their cars, but has a seating area as well. Famous for their wraps, Tikkas, Tandooris & barbecued stuff. *4. Leopold Cafe (area - Colaba causeway in Mumbai)* - Nice beer, barbecues, nice desserts. *5. Pancham Puriwala - (area - fort in Mumbai)* - 5 types of puris(bread), savory dishes & desserts. *6. Persian Darbar - (area - Bandra west in Mumbai)* Famous for their Raan Biryani. Delicious Mughlai cuisine. You'll love it. *7. Mahesh Lunch home - (area - Juhu Tara road in Mumbai)* Heaven for Sea food lovers. Very clean & hygienic and you can get the most iconic sea food dishes here. *8. Mini Punjab's Lake side - (area Powai in Mumbai)* Need to call and book a thaali(platter) in advance. Famous for its Dara Singh Thaali - available in both veg & non-veg versions. A must try. *9. Britannia & co. restaurant - (area - Ballard estate, Fort in Mumbai)* Famous for its Irani / Parsi cuisine. Awesome Desserts & Sodas. *10. Anand Stall - (Vile Parle west in Mumbai)* A fast food joint famous for its awesome Vada Paav, Sandwiches & Dosas. *11. Mohammed Ali road - (Area - CST - 6 pm onwards till late night)* The whole street is filled with street vendors who sell various non-vegetarian stuff and some vegetarian too. Plus, there are some really nice restaurants on the same street. Try the famous dessert that you get only on this street in a sweet shop. The dessert is called Aflatoon.

Hi Jason. I rewatched some of your vids from 7 yrs ago - you were so baby faced then. Lol. I think it's great that you returned to that place where you had that delicious-looking thali. Very nostalgic. Would you consider Mumbai as safe for solo female travellers, in your opinion? (some places in India aren't safe, esp for female travellers)
@JasonBillamTravel
@JasonBillamTravel Ай бұрын
I think it’s safe for solo females - there’s a lot of liberal-minded people living in the city - it is the home of some of India’s richest/Bollywood after all. I saw a lot of women wandering around in shorts, seems more relaxed compared to other parts of India. Of course, you need to keep in mind the neighbourhood you’re in.

foreigners call the this land India but original name is Bharat for more than 5000 years. Indians when talking in other Indian languages than English they say Bharat. India name was given by greeks 2300 years ago made official by British during their rule. after British were gone both India and Bharat name were made official. India does not mean anything but Bharat has deep meaning. "Bharata" literally means: "Bha" for bhava(sensation) - the experience of life, "Ra" for raga(tune) - the tune of life, and "Ta" for tala(rhythm) - the rhythm of life. If you find the right rhythm, life happens beautifully. If you miss the rhythm, you get crushed by the process of life. Bharat - A place where emotions are in tune with rhythm of life.
