I honestly loved the expressiveness of this one. Etho and Grian being terrified by their task, and Mumbo being cheerful at the beginning, then getting dragged down into the terror with the rest of em. All Imma say is that the sheer difference between Mumbo and Grian’s expressions at 0:01 was great

this is probably one of my most favorite art styles ive seen in animatics. most of them are crudely drawn or cartoonish but theres something refreshing about seeing a more realistic animatic. saying that 0:57 oh god what is that arm grian.

well yeah, animatics arent typically rich in detail unless youre specifically planning for the animatic itself to be the finished product, rather than it being the rough draft of an animation. not sure what about this art style screaks realism though

Love it! The characters are so exprissive and synamic, and the depictions of the characters look so natural. The body language is also just fantastic! I really like how the only times we actually see Mumbo's mouth is at 0:00 when he greets Grian, and at 1:26 when he bursts out laughing. It's like his mustache obfuscates his mouth unitl he gets those really big movements, such as from laughing. I really like the body language between Etho and Grian. When they start to bounce off each other and lean off each other's shoulders, it really looks like they are a tight duo. Also, the long stare and silence between Etho and Grain really emphasizes the tension of that scene. Awesome! Keep up the great work! Pleeeease make more!

Man, the level of expressiveness that is near-unanimously shared around these Life Series animatics fills me with joy. Say whatever you will but ya'll L.S. fan animators are really talented at drawing humans! Also I was expecting it to get a bit grand and epic when Grian delivered that line *0:56* That genuinely feels like something out of an adventure fantasy.
