In this episode of Hermitcraft Season 9, Mumbo Jumbo finishes up the exterior of the Minecraft starter base, tries to solve the mystery of the Minecraft vault filled with diamonds, and tries to summon Grian to return to Hermitcraft using the Grumbot room. This Hermitcraft episode is filled with Minecraft building, Minecraft diamonds, and fun interactions with the Hermitcraft server members.

Didn't Ren also tell Mumbo, before this video, about what happened when he was king and throwing diamonds into a pit? I think this is just Mumbo's way of asking the other hermits if they want their diamonds back, but since the bit is he's the richest hermit 1. They'd always say no and 2. Everyone has kinda moved on from that event and no longer care about the missing diamonds.

@@comp.lex4 arrows go throught the portal. The portal fires out the arrows in the overworld. (Zedaphs base) zedaph has a bunch of pets he dangled around his base. Those arrows trajectory should hit those pets based on Zeds prior tests.

Don't worry about the redstone in the Nether, it's just a simple dispenser array by Zedaph that makes it so that a portal in his base spits out a cloud of arrows when you throw a snowball into it.

I think the crevice will feel a lot more complete with stained glass over it. Being able to walk over it and look down at the details you’ve worked on while keeping the dark kinda feeling and making it more walking friendly, i think will make it a lot more like a base other than a build. @@sambuma It's a cannon of sorts that Zedaph built. He rigged up connected portals where on one side was just your typical 2x3 size and on the nether side (that mumbo accidentally broke into) it was a massive portal. Through the massive portal he had dispensers fire arrows and they all come out the smaller portal en masse and its just this wall of arrows at your face (and the rest of ya).

fun fact: at 9:32 Mumbo has 3,886 diamonds (the 4 stacks of 64 blocks (4(64*9)=2304) is most of that). almost four thousand for reference, 3886 diamonds could fill a 16x16x15 area (i.e. 99% of the interior of his base in this video) and he'd still have 46 left over. it could make 111 full sets of diamond tools (18 1/2 large chests full) and he'd have some left over. he is very much the richest hermit at this point

In fact most of the players probably know because I'd imagine since that is the servers diamonds most of the server would have had to agreed to let Mumbo have them for the funny joke, since the hermits tend to decide things like this as a collective. I meant in terms of the storyline, like for the bit. In character none of them know.

If you want a fun idea of something to do with all of those diamonds that you "found" in your vault you could always gather a bunch of the invisible item frames and place the diamonds randomly all throughout the chasm in between of the outer wall and the vault.
