In this Mumbo Minecraft redstone video, I transform the worst structure in minecraft, the Minecraft desert well! This desert well transforms into a gigantic redstone desert temple, with automatic loot dispensers, minecraft traps, Minecraft secret entrances, and automatic dungeons!

This would also instantly become the most OP structure in the game. rewards aside, there's the farming potential of 4 different quad spawners in a tiny area.... this would immediately lead to the installation of a minecart loop to keep them all activating, with spawns funneled into a centralized killing area over a loot collection system.

To be fair, Desert Wells technically aren't structures at all. They're considered "terrain features" by the game, which is the category with things like individual large ice spikes, the disks of clay and sand at the bottoms of lakes, and glowstone clusters in the nether. This is also why you can't find Wells with the /locate command. (Bonus: All of this also applies to Dungeons/"Monster Rooms", Geodes, Fossils, and End Gateways as well).
@1mariomaniac
@1mariomaniac 2 ай бұрын
Huh, I didn't know that, kinda odd they would classify smaller structures like that lol. You could keep the regular well though, but add a structure like this that sometimes appears. that way whenever you see a well there's always that _chance_ it could be something interesting.

/locate terrain Minecraft:Desert_Well should be a feature.
@ClonedGamer001
@ClonedGamer001 2 ай бұрын
@@Sphendrana It would probably make more sense for them to just add the handful of rarer but actually useful terrain features as valid targets for the "structure" half of the command despite them not strictly being structures, rather than adding a dedicated "terrain" option. The vast majority of terrain features are both incredibly common and not something any player would realistically need to locate individually.
@ClonedGamer001
@ClonedGamer001 2 ай бұрын
@@1mariomaniac If I'm not mistaken, Dungeons and Wells were added before "structures" existed as a distinct part of world gen, so they were implemented differently, and both are so basic that they don't really _need_ the more complex structure generation mechanics so they were never retroactively made into ones. Honestly the one that surprises me the most is Fossils. Those things have surprisingly complicated generation logic and were implemented way after structures were added, so idk why they made them a terrain feature.

Fr, that is the reason why this structure should be added into the game. If we have a trap of useless arrows and dispensers, and if we have a trap of simple tnt in the hole, why then we can't have a counter-pick of maze even for the players that are mid-game with the diamond basic tools and armor with enchantments?

You asked Maze Developers to share their experiences? Here's mine! I recently got into game design and map building around a year ago. I recently took on a challenge to make a game with SO MANY THINGS that the average player would never find them all. Every good game has some sort of secret right? So I decided to add the Backrooms as a small point of my game! Though many people would have decided to take a Pre Built maze and add texture and call it a day, I decided to make one from scratch. I can't remember the exact dimensions but it took roughly 6 hours to make the maze. My only hope for future maze creators is that THEY KNOW HOW PAINFUL IT REALLY IS😭. I've been a fan for years and I hope you all reading this have success in the future! Don't make mazes kids! (Seriously I went through three 2 hour long videos.) EDIT: 200+ LIKES?? TYSM!

I would like to see more Redstone structures or a build series. Also on a different node, you could make a series where you build different structures with redstone inside them and make it a mod so that only redstone structures will appear. And then play it with some friends. (I would really like to see grians reaction to a world like this.)

The idea of tiny structures like desert wells has actually grown on me since 1.20, and it'd be nice to see more tiny structures in the world that you can gain loot from via archaeology.

i used to design mazes for a nearby farm's corn maze, and to be honest the technique of it each year was very similar to how you built yours. you plan the route first, then pick 3 or 4 "end points" that are dead ends, make routes for those, then branch out into the gaps.
@craytherlaygaming2852
@craytherlaygaming2852 2 ай бұрын
Personally, I think what you should have done with the maze, was have it so it's placed *below* the rest of the structure. That way it all fits within the structure footprint which most minecraft structures do. Making it easy to set up a structure block with the various jigsaw blocks that determine things like random room generation. Also this would be a clever challenge as you'd need a layer of wool between the floor of the upper levels and the maze below or risk blowing it all up.

The only problem I see, is there's no sign that there's a skulk sensor in the maze. There should be a closer one that won't trigger the bomb, and so when the player makes their first noise, they're alerted to the skulk sensor, and they need to be quiet.

what'd you expect him to do? make a 14 minuet long video of him making a historically accurate well?? if you want a history lesson about wells then you've missed that part of KZbin by a lightyear. also, be less negative! stop taking things so seriously! if he wanted to turn a well into a dungeon and post it on KZbin he has the rights to do so! its HIS channel! not yours! and also, for anything that includes mumbo, more is ALWAYS more.
