Here's what I saw: XBCrafted wanted to sue Mumbo at any cost, even if it didn't make sense to do so. He did not make the requisite attempt to resolve the issue outside of court. When Mumbo offered reparations, XBCrafted didn't negotiate for more nor did he turn down the offer, but instead accused Mumbo of bribery. XBCrafted has proven he is not interested in reparations; it's not even a consideration for him, which means he did not actually suffer any tangible loss requiring reparations. He simply wanted to sue Mumbo for the sake of suing Mumbo. I strongly advise getting Grian as your lawyer. He's brilliant and always has your back. Also, the obligatory "I am not a lawyer, but..."

No, XB's simply not getting the sales he used to get -- most likely due to the Hermits having their own sources of food (see Impulse's carrot farm as an example) -- and instead of trying to figure out a way to innovate and draw customers back to his shop, XB instead looked for something to blame for it, and found a convenient scapegoat in the sounds from Mumbo's shop.

Good defence for mumbo: The fact that mumbo is suffering from success in the iron shop means, that no overflow iron is moved to the surfave. This means the iron spreading on the ground can not be from his factory. And following this logic we can conclude that someone else is behind the iron spread. Who? That we don't know. But that wount matter now, sense i have proven that mumbo is innocent at the iron spread part of this lawsuit. Edit: Thank you all for the likes and the replies. I have a suggestion, but it's multistep. First, offer to make xBCrafted a machine that autoplays a music disc for ambient music in his store. This can be offered to cover up the industrial noises that he somehow takes issue with, and can be used as an offer to settle the legal dispute out of court (it's not bribery, just compensation paid as labour!). Assuming he takes you up on the offer to build it, ask Grian for a copy of his Please Hold music... both regular and the off-putting altered versions. Wait a bit after it's up and running, then switch out the regular version that's in there for the altered version, and feign ignorance if questioned (Deny! Deny! Deny!). Alternatively to using Grian's music is swapping regular music discs for anything else, but I personally like the auditory uncanny valley approach. Also, I'm not sure if there's anything about only having 1 lawyer, or if you could have multiple Hermits defending you as a singular legal firm. But that's just in case he refuses to settle out of court.

Skizz has a 100% win rate on the server, so he would be a top choice and has an official lawyer office and can do the lawyer jargon, Joe also has a lawyer office and while lost against skizz could go with a crazy defense that might just work. I saw someone mention Scar as a lawyer and yeah I could see that, scar is surprisingly good at talking and convincing people, in 3rd life he got free armor from people just by talking at them. Joel would not be a good lawyer in this case cuz the judge (bdubs) currently hates him for horse related antics.

XB krafted should put the most lucrative items for sale in the back of the shop. Because the people who buy those know they want to buy them. So it forces them to walk by the other stuff, and they’ll realize “oh hold on a minute. This stuff’s really good I should get some of this stuff”. This is a real sales tactic used by shops IRL. that really only works in real life though, because in minecraft you walk like 6 meters a second but in real life you walk a lot slower than that so you have more time to smell the smells and get lured in because you're usually in there for at least 10 minutes. in minecraft its more of a "get in get out" type thing

your honour mumbo only tried to pay a settlement and did not try to bribe anyone. the accuser was already upset at mumbo and seemed to have the only goal of taking him to court instead of talking things out, therefore putting mumbos reputation AND income at risk. Moreover they did not want to settle anything which pushed mumbo into a corner and he was not thinking clealry when he threw the briks trough the window, which is showcased by the maniacal laughing that happens after the incident occured.

The noise and mess: Is that site not known as the "Industrial District", and not the "Retail District"? What is industry if not noise and mess? Tell them they have made a terrible mistake locating their retail shop/s in the Industrial District. You will be countersuing for court and legal fees, as well as damages from stress and the besmirching of your brand . Beans, Pearl, Gem, Grain, or Cub are your best bets. I’m not a legal expert, but I don’t think this situation qualifies as a “bribe.” You technically offered the leaves to him to settle the case. Even if he declined the offer, if he never returned the mangrove leaves to you, the original owner, that could be interpreted as him accepting the offer non verbally. This would mean he settled the case with you for a stack of leaves without even realizing it.

He doesn't even need that. The so called "iron spill" has copper in it. A clear evidence of it being completely made up to frame Mumbo Killsalot Jumbo. Also, for the vandalism, yes in theory it can be repaired by having the glass replaced... However given how XB responded to Mumbo's attempt at settling out of court - i.e. accepting none of it and pretend it was bribing - , along with the clear attempt of framing, XB wants Mumbo sued for the sake of it, not for his shop or whatever he's pretending.

In Mumbo's defense at 4:53: The mine is relatively small and shallow, being close to the surface unlike how deep Mumbo's mine is. The structural support is not fence-sized, and is made of full-sized birch logs. Therefore, the vibrations from Mumbo's mine would be ultimately have no impact on the stability and safety of the mine.
