Lyrics below:
You may call it in this evening
But you've only lost the night
Present all your pretty feelings
May they comfort you tonight
And I'm climbing over something
And I'm running through these walls
I don't even know if I believe
I don't even know if I believe
I don't even know if I believe
Everything you're trying to say to me
I had the strangest feeling
Your world's not all it seems
So tired of misconceiving
What else this could've been
I don't even know if I believe
I don't even know if I believe
I don't even know if I believe
Everything you're trying to say to me
So open up my eyes
Tell me I'm alive
This is never gonna go our way
If I'm gonna have to guess what's on your mind
Say something, say something
Something like you love me
Less you want to move away
From the noise of this place
Well I don't even know if I believe
I don't even know if I believe
I don't even know if I wanna believe
Everything you're trying to say to me
So open up my eyes
Tell me I'm alive
This is never gonna go our way
If I'm gonna have to guess what's on your mind
So open up my eyes
Tell me I'm alive
This is never gonna go our way
If I'm gonna have to guess what's on your mind

***** it is called change. everyone is always afraid of change. music evolves, if you don't find yourself on the wave of change, you'll be caught beneath it. Mumford & sons doesn't want to get left behind, this sound is beautiful and they will always be the band i put my faith behind.

Lol that second comment is so idiotic. A "real fan" would know bands progress and like to branch out to different sounds and learn to grow and love it not live in the past like you. Their album is amazing if you haven't listened to it. You are not a real fan what so ever if you can't appreciate the music.

In addition, Mumford & Sons started out as rock, they had a go with folk for a while and it worked, now they are changing again. That's part of the joke, Marcus was originally a drummer, and, only learnt to play in C on guitar. Hence the joke, that whenever he comes up with a new song idea, and he's playing a guitar, it will be in C.

I absolutely love how their sound differs with each album! It keeps the band sounding fresh and interesting (in my opinion). And yet the feeling of all of their music remains the same; they are hopeful, loving and wistful and I think it's that in which people connect to.

"Sell out" ? Their bluegrass style made them one of the biggest bands in the world. Their success from 2009-2013 was because of a particular style they spent years culminating. To DEFY that is a huge risk. That's insane. They were bold and took a huge risk and did the exact OPPOSITE of selling out. And goddamn did they do it well.

I don't understand all the hate to this new sound, sure they might have changed instruments, but Mumford and Sons are not just banjos, they are inspiration, they are thought provoking lyrics, and they are themselves. Changing their sound does not make them something their not, people change, why aren't they allowed to? Anyways, loving the new sound, looking forward to the new album :)

I would consider myself an outsider maybe with a different viewpoint than the loyal followers. I just recently started listening to the Babel tunes and liked them for being unique from other stuff, but in general just in them being great tunes. Now I listen to this tune. The instruments may have changed a bit, but the voices, the harmonies, the way the song is written and performed - it seems to me the spirit of the band is still there. They haven't sold out - they've evolved a bit maybe as musicians do when they explore - maybe they'll go back to the banjo later, who knows - but I think they're a band worth watching either way.

It sounds better than the studio version of the song. The studio version has a weird filter or reverb on Marcus' voice, which just doesn't sound right. If they didn't have that, the song would be much, much better.

She left though, things changed and she moved on, misconceptions she had and couldn't shake... but I can't move on. How can I move on when I have so many memories..so many moments. How do you just move on...? I really don't believe I ever truly will.

I embrace the new sound. It's different for them, and very refreshing, but I think some people don't have the ear for the electric guitar. The banjo doesn't have to be present in every song. The instruments can be interchangeable, which would be great for other stripped down versions of the song. I don't see what people are so upset about. They can't release the same sounding album year after year. It's the same thing with Incubus - the If Not Now When album wasn't what I expected from them, because it was all melodic and introspective love songs, unlike their more politically charged songs from SCIENCE, Make Yourself, or ACLOTM. Point being, everyone has their favourite sound. But it's also nice to find a new facet in one of our favourite bands.

I really like the style these guys are going for, from the gray tone to the cloths yall are wearing even to the filters on the video and obviously the music, it seems like they are really progressing and evolving as a band together musically and stylistically. Im glad i can actually take them seriously now because they can write good music im just glad they are past the stupid gimmicky indie look, i understand why they did it, to sneek themselves into the mainstream hip thing and get popular but as they move on actually dress and write music that they want to with the fanbase they accumulated. Pretty much the same thing The Beatles did. Anyway, bravo, amazing song. Oh and P.S FUCK THE BANJO!!!!!!!!!!!

Never was a huge M&S fan BUT the new album just blew my mind like 😱 It's one of the best albums ever out there. They may lost a few old fans with the new sound but got a lot of new fans as well

I get it that they have come out with more of a mainstream sound, and I'll say that Sigh No More is still my favorite. But if you can't hear the same level of musicianship in their new stuff that is present in their old stuff, you may just not be as great of a critic as you think you are.

is there an special reason why the always play in a specific order?... I mean it is always Ben, Marcus, Winston and Ted. I just went to their concert and they played just in that order... P.S. I Love their music thoroughly!

Hm.. I discovered these guys this year. After listening to Wilder Minds I went back and heard all their old stuff. I enjoy their "new" sound I guess. It caught my attention at least.
