It's empty in the valley of your heart The sun, it rises slowly as you walk Away from all the fears and all the faults you've left behind The harvest left no food for you to eat You cannibal, you meat-eater, you see But I have seen the same I know the shame in your defeat I will hold on hope and I won't let you choke On the noose around your neck And I'll find strength in pain And I will change my ways I'll know my name as it's called again 'Cause I have other things to fill my time You take what is yours and I'll take mine Now let me at the truth, which will refresh my broken mind So tie me to a post and block my ears I can see widows and orphans through my tears I know my call despite my faults and despite my growing fears But I will hold on hope and I won't let you choke On the noose around your neck And I'll find strength in pain And I will change my ways I'll know my name as it's called again So come out of your cave walking on your hands And see the world hanging upside down You can understand dependence when you know the maker's heart So make your siren's call and sing all you want I will not hear what you have to say 'Cause I need freedom now and I need to know how To live my life as it's meant to be And I will hold on hope and I won't let you choke On the noose around your neck And I'll find strength in pain And I will change my ways I'll know my name as it's called again

DADF#AD, an Open D :)
@AustinDeutscher5 жыл бұрын
I dont know for sure. But hes using a martin guitar (like always) and martins have that bright tone. But if you want a crisp, bright, louder, tone. I use Elixer nanowebs for mumford songs and it works out perfectly. If you like playing there fast songs use Mediums or heavy strings and for delta songs id use light strings
@AustinDeutscher5 жыл бұрын
Oh and also, those elixer strings have a coating on them so they sound new for like 2 months and i play everyday. and that coating makes it easier to slide around the strings and if you dont like it when acoustics have that high pitch sound when you slide on the strings if you know what im talking about. Elixer strings prevent that.

I have been a big Mumford & sons fan but have felt that were losing it as the album Delta did absolutely nothing for me. I like that they attempt different things and head off the beaten track which they have done here. I was expecting this to be a poor version, like when an artist trys to do different things and claim they are being artistic or reinventing. Fortunately I think this is really good and like how a classic like The Cave has been played.
