I think what I love about her Luigi Mansion playthrough is she seems so carefree. She is laughing at all the sparky ghosts, she is kind of witty with E. Gadd, she is singing along, she comments how cute Luigi is and this playthrough is very youthful. It is very entertaining to watch and adds a level to the game

Gabs, when you hold something, you don't need to keep the r Button pressed, once you're holding on to it, the poltergust won't let go unless you press L, also when you're not pressing r while holding an object, you'll move faster

Wooo Part 3 complete! Nice to see how well you’re mowing through this. But fair warning, the next world is only three levels long, followed by what many agree as THE MOST INFURIATING AND DIFFICULT BOSS IN THE WHOLE GAME. I won’t say too much, but be ready for motion control shenanigans, and good luck ofc

The game will reward you with more money if you finish off a ghost with a higher charge. The first charge gives you 3 coins. The 2nd charge gives you a gold bar. The maximum charge I believe gives you 3 gold bars. Taking advantage of that will get you upgrades faster.

This was my first Luigi's Mansion game and I love it so much! Always look forward to this whenever a new episode drops. I remember from the first episode you mentioned being interested in doing gem collection for the game. If you are interested in getting all of them, outside of casually, the best way to try and find them all is to use the mansion missions that give you the most free reign to wander. As an example, the first mansion's best mission for this may be the spiderweb cleanup mission. Also, have a guide handy. Some gems are easy and other ones are downright EVIL. If doing Boos takes your fancy, outside of casually as well, it's going through the missions and watching were vanishing objects are. The rooms, if I remember right, that have vanishing objects are a trail to the room where the Boo is. Also, listen for the Boo laugh; the laugh tells you if they are in the room with you, and whenever the laugh happens the object they are in moves as well. Edit: I'm aware this is only if you, or anyone else, is interested in getting everything on the side that is possible in this game. But I'd rather leave it here so the information is available.

I'm playing through Dark Moon myself but I'm appreciating it so much more with this playthrough! Like how the music is incredibly better with headphones! Also, the directional pad for the Switch has the same function as the "A" button of the original Luigi's Mansion game. Have fun trying it out, it's really cute!

I want E. Gadd to die in a future game but still be around to do his usual thing as a ghost. The possibilities are endless. The jokes will be so fun, like “I’m continuing my research, FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE! How many other scientists can say that? This is revolutionary for the field of ghost research!” “Oh the dark moon is gone again? Turns out I’m way too smart to be affected by that thing/I invented a device after last time so that when I died I wouldn’t have to rely on it” etc.

Ever since I played this WAAYYY back on the 3ds this level has always been my no.1 favourite and the one I most replayed, the second being the last level. It’s just such a cool unique concept and aesthetic with the old clocks, great music, the introduction of some truly innovative puzzles and mechanics and I love the ghost rush like boss at the end which was my first real challenge in the game!(and by challenge I mean I died that one time lol) It’s also the first level to not hold you hand as much…Plus the Antechamber and tomb portion of the map legit creeped me out because of the ambiance and pitch blackness reminding me how deep underground I had come…(some serious ‘The Decent’ movie vibes)😅

every time you run down, your arrow on the mini map looks like and alien head. first time i noticed in this episode i thought it was showing a hidden alien on the map and i was like, "why is there an alien here, this game is about ghosts"

I had never heard of Luigi's Mansion until Gab's playthrough of the third installment and I found it so charming. I'm unfortunately too young to have experienced the heyday of PlayStation or Nintendo consoles. I've only ever owned a DS and Wii when I grew up playing TV plug-in games with Atari-type controls and playing the one game that still worked on my dad's old B&W Gameboy. I still have yet to get a console that's actually mine as an adult and do everything PC with an off-brand controller I got for $10. I will only be able to afford a PS5 or Switch/whatever comes after a Switch. As much as I love Super Mario, Animal Crossing, and Zelda, PlayStation is a better fit for me. Animal Crossing: Wild World is my most played game in my childhood and I'm saying this. It's mostly due to Bloodborne but if Bloodborne comes to PC, I'm still going with PS5 because of the range of games and controls.
