Evesham was my wedding china. 30 years later, my husband became disabled and we lost everything. I had to sell the Evesham and most of our possessions. Then, a year after he died, I saw an ad for 100 pieces of Evesham for $150. It was like a gift from heaven!

Stephanie, every time you show the chapel and its progress, I get emotional. I dedicated a star to my late grandfather, Alvin. He was a man of many hats throughout his life, but he helped restore a few historic homes that are roughly the same age as the chapel. He was an excellent storyteller and I relished sitting and listening to the stories he had accumulated when he was helping restore those homes. From Spanish gold coins in the attic to hidden servants corridors, it was so magical to listen to him talk. Your restorers are doing such an incredible job, and watching the chapel lifted to its former glory, and in a way that will sustain the building for many many years to come is so touching to me and brings back that childlike wonderment that I felt when I listened to my grandpa’s stories. Thank you for what you’re doing! ❤ I hope to come visit LaLande someday soon!

I think this was one of the most emotional vlogs ever from beginning to end. I’m so glad a sat down and watched it before I went to bed. One of those stars is for my parents. My mother, Florence, passed away May 17. She would have been 100 June 3. My father Jim passed away 12 years ago at 90. The other star is for my husband who is at home fighting a Glioblastoma brain tumour. When I heard Percy tell the story of the lost cat I had tears running down my face. Stephanie’s trip to the airport , the rain, then the sunshine, Lancelot meeting your Mom, the window cleaning, the tartan masked man, McDonald’s, Marie’s beautiful hair, the beautiful China, Marie’s apron, the dog kisses, the apartment, the smiles, the beautiful dinner table and food service.. All of it by far made the Canadian Girls day. I’m going to bed feeling much more positive than before I watched it Thank you for my smiles. I do hope some day to see my parents and my husbands star with my own eyes. I hope in some small way I will be able to volunteer and I’d love to sing in your chapel. Merci, thank you La Landers! 💕
