1:27 tbf, I considered the NTW-50 as a downscaled NTW-20, because it's seemingly has half the size of a real life NTW-20, similar case to Cold War's ZRG. Real life NTW-20 can't be fired in standing position because it's heavy af, something that Phantom Forces perfectly depicted the weapon. The only logical choice for devs would be downscaling the weapon in order to do so, and consequentially, firing a smaller anti materiel caliber than a 20x82, namely the .50 BMG, hence the NTW-50 name in BF2042.

@@namkhanh9326cv making a semi auto shotgun have a pump action charging handle is an extremely fragile system. The spas 12, and 15 aswell as the benelli m3 and m4 CAN switch between pump and semi, but you cannot rack the pump in semi. Also there is no reason to give the ACR a reciprocating charging handle. Stop trying to justify this shit game

Yeah no, i doubt that the nvk s22 is suppossed to make sense in the first place. AFAIK, there isnt a bullpup, tube-fed, double barrel shotgun that can switch between semi and pump which make the s22 fictional. The ACW-R is not even a new gun, it is just the ACR. The charging handle is not a futuristic modification, its an animation mistake

You should look at Hot Dogs, Horseshoes, and Hand Grenades. It's a vr game and I think it might impress you. There are some things that have mistakes but a lot of them aren't major at all

I think that the 20x110 caliber version of the NTW with an armor-piercing cartridge is capable of penetrating any modern obt, except for Soviet / Russian ones in the side projection What can I say, if the 14.5 KPVT pierced the first Bradleys into the side, then for a larger caliber there should be no problems with the thin 40mm side of Western tanks.

I actually researched it, no. 20MM Armor Piercing can't penetrate an Abrams. But it can SOMEWHAT for the IFVs. Just for context. On the Trials for the M1 Abrams. The 105mm round of the Abrams can't even penetrate it's most armored section (front). As for IFVs and the Bradley. There's some cases of 50cal penetrating however it was done in the most ideal conditions ie. On a range, within 50 meters, lack of any wind interference and focused on it's mid to rear section where the weakest part of it's armor.

@@Saiga-saiga even so, the Abrams in almost every part of it's body can withstand the 20mm of the NTW. It's possible to hit the rear of the Abrams hitting it's engine but it wouldn't cause an explosion or hit the ammo like the one found in the game. Just for context. There's situations wherein soldiers were ordered to fire upon an Abrams with a 50cal to kill insurgents attempting to board the tank. It barely made a dent on its plating.

The name for Battlefield's fictionalised variant of the NTW-20, the NTW-50, would imply that the weapon does not actually use a 20x82mm Mauser. The number in the name is supposed to indicate the caliber used. So I'm guessing this variant is supposed to be .50 BMG, though that wouldn't be an ideal round for taking out a tank either. The designation they use in the game would also be incorrect, as Denel Mechem's designations would be based on the Metric System, not the Imperial System. If they wanted an anti-materiel rifle that can damage an MBT, a much more suitable weapon would be something like the Steyr IWS 2000, which fires a 15.2x169mm APFSDS round with a Depleted Uranium or Tungsten core, designed specifically for taking out armoured vehicles. The 20x82mm Mauser round that the NTW-20 fires has a maximum penetration of 23 mm RHAe at 100 meters range, and .50 BMG has similar penetration characteristics. The 15.2x169mm APFSDS round can penetrate over 40 mm RHAe at 1000 meters range. Possibly upwards of about 60 mm at point blank ranges (though no testing data for that range is publicly available). Of course, even a round like this would never come close to bypassing the composite armour of any modern MBTs, but it probably can penetrate an M1 Abrams if you aim for certain weakspots, especially around areas where there is no such composite armour, such as the roof and the rear which are both only about 30 mm thick.

​@@v12ts.gaming In Battlefield 1, they had the Tankgewehr, which you couldn't use unless you proned or used the bipod on something. I don't think anyone complained then. At least I didn't. I think you can fire the IWS 2000 while standing if you really wanted to. I've seen videos of soldiers firing the PTRS-41 from the shoulder standing upright.

0:27 can you do that with an ACR? The bolt release is below the mag release. I mean I think you could if you hit it with the bottom of your palm but one that eject the mag as well?

Regarding the ACR: For the bolt release, they slap it like an AR platform, but for the ACR/Masada platform the bolt release needs to either be pushed downwards with the thumb or can be pushed down with the trigger finger. Idk what the fuck they're slapping, but it ain't a bolt release

I think they're slapping the left mag catch, the bolt catches for ACR are in front of the trigger guard (or behind the magwell if you prefer)

The NVK and AC-42 aren't supposed to be real guns, even if they superficially resemble real ones. I don't see the point of putting them here when things like the M249 reload exist.

Battlefield really had 8 months of development and it shows. Even 1 year later we're yet to see any worthwhile content. Glad they added it to the EA play. I only play it to chat shit to the other team and rarely contribute to the team. Cause that's apparently what battlefield is about. Every man for himself
