Munch Star Singer Junior is a reality show for kids who showcase their talent in various kind of singing styles and songs sponsored by popular chocolate brand Munch. In this music and singing reality show, a carefully selected bunch of talented kids showcase their skills and expertise in various forms of music, songs and singing. Popular, talented and one of the finest Dancer, actress and anchor Akhila Sasidharan hosted and anchored the Munch Star Singer Junior. It aired on Asianet Global channel every weekend on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm onwards in the evening as per the Indian Standard Time (IST). Talented and veteran Malayalam and national level playback singers Sujatha, G Venugopal, MG Sreekumar and other Playback singers adorned the judges’ chair of the Munch Star Singer Junior. The show started in the year 2008-2009 and continued for 3 seasons and was later replaced by another reality show sponsored by the same company Nestlé’s Munch titled Munch Dance Dance- a reality dance show. Swetha Ashok was the winner of the Munch star singer junior in the last season and Athira Murali and Sadhika occupied the second and the third places respectively in the same show. The show was an instant hit and was immensely popular among its viewers and audiences.
