Just finished having a fish supper at Oban Fish & Chips and my god it was good! You could see them preparing and bettering whole fresh cod fillets as you waited all cooked to order. Chips were proper thick chunks and really light and pillowy. They had the perfect middle between not too greasy that it’s an oil slick but not too dry. I’m only here for two nights I haven’t had time to try Norie’s but since this has been filmed Gordon Ramsey, Gino DiCampo and Fred from First Dates had visited and got photos behind the counter after an apparently excellent meal and the place was absolutely packed!

Charlet reminds me of when I worked on a research ship in the Arctic and it was full of young scientists and they all kind of looked like her, same bob cut, skinny and when they were working for the first month or so, they acted like Charlet, posh and quite......then when they had completed their research, we still had like 3 weeks at sea.....
