It‘s probably a reaction of the histamin in certain types of foods. Since high quality chocolate has a higher cocoa percentage, it has more histamin. Often times people can see the same reaction when eating tomatoes, ripe bananas, red wine or old cheese types. Sneezing, a runny nose or getting red blotches on their cheeks are some possible signs.
