I wouldn't talk to any of the homeless here in Seattle. Too many are mentally unstable. I've had to call the cops many occasions. It is a serious problem. It is very sad. I work in property management and homeless is a constant situation. Our employees don't feel safe. We ask them to carry mace and take self defense classes. Many of our female workers have been sexually assaulted outside of the buildings. We have homeless people who will break into our buildings and steal our furniture or sleep on our couches. We have had to bolt down everything in our lobbies. The number of calls we get about people hearing screaming outside is ridiculous. I wish I was making this stuff up. Seattle is not a safe city. These aren't trashy apartments either. We are talking about very nice brand new buildings in desirable parts of the city.

@@ThatsNoiceDude Seattle (or King County) has extremely high homeless rates. Even in towns like 30-40 minutes out. You just see them more in Seattle. The city is a fun place to visit (not necessarily to drive around ;)), but I would recommend living or working somewhere a bit further away if homeless people are an issue for you. That being said, there are also lots of organizations (particularly Hopelink) that are trying to help, but a lot more work is needed. If you do move to Seattle, please be kind to homeless people because they live there too.

As someone who's lived in Seattle for over a decade now, I can't believe it took me so long to find this. All great spots. There is nothing like being at Dick's on Saturday night at 1AM with all the drunk people on the hill. Got shout out to my favorite spot Honey Hole, always open late, best damn sandwiches in Seattle.

What a trip. When you see one of your local gutterpunks in another town getting fed it reminds me what a small world we live in. That was a pretty rad thing to do and to just kick it for a minute and get a lil backstory of the area and the people in it was worth it
