Love this... super inspirational! I've just got back into riding. Have a gravel bike on order and trying to get fit on my old trek crossover before it arrives. I am only in Telford, will be popping over to where you rode in this vid to find some of these places when my Gravel arrives!

Enjoyed this video.👍 Great singletrack to have on your doorstep. Went over from MTB to road at the end of 2012, but still take one of my mountain bikes out now and again. Began using a CX bike for gravel a couple of years ago and loved it. Got a proper gravel bike about June this year. feel so much more planted on the gravel geometry over the CX. Plenty of scope here in the Llangollen area to ride gravel. Looking forward to catching up on your videos.

Jim's on a gravel bike which means at least one clipped in crash 😂. You have inspired me to convert my old 1995 fully rigid Kona lava dome into a gravelesque style bike.

I’m amazed at the capabilities of these bikes, I’m a bit like you were I’ve never been tempted by this gravel malarkey. But maybe I was wrong this looks like banging fun on two wheels better than cyclecross I think. Great video keep em coming.

great vid, as a fellow Topstone rider you certainly showed it off doing what it does best. Behind the hype of Gravel riding lies cycling at arguably its purest.

Great ride. Good to hear your thoughts on Gravel Riding. I've been very torn between getting a Gravel bike or mtb hard tail. Always riden a Hard tail but got more Interest lately at giving it a go.

I think it's more fun, but could be because I ride gnarlier stuff now on the E

If you already own a mtb, I’d go gravel bike. It opens up epic long distance rides and makes normally simple techy stuff challenging again. I love my mtb but find that I ride my gravel bike now more generally . It’s good for commuting and getting the miles in over the crappy winter months

I'm loving these vids! As someone who at one point had 4 mountain bikes and now only has a couple of gravel bikes (but eyeing up another hardtail 😂) I think you really capture the feeling I had when i discovered gravel riding - the ability to see a lot in one ride, at speed, in most conditions. Look forward to many more. Check out www.thecrosscartel.com - some nice routes in Shropshire / Welsh Marches which you may enjoy
