It is very frustrating to see how little ability to receive signal this mobile has. It loses signal in garages, when there are a lot of people,... I have always had one plus and have never had these problems. I regret having bought the pixel 8 pro.

I had a one plus nord prior to the pixel 8, never had signal issues and 90% of the time a decent 5G connection even when indoors. The pixel 8 pro is awful in comparison! Constantly just refuses to connect to the internet and will randomly drop speeds to a fraction of what they're supposed to be. It also struggles immensely to get a 5G connection in the same locations my one plus nord would have no trouble doing so. I'm on a contract though so am unsure of how I can get this returned, cancelled or refunded.

Same issue for me. Well I got that strong 2G network though. I feel bad because I initially thought it was Google Fi (changed network and phone at the same time), but turns out I got Google Fi signal on my OP7T just fine 😅

Me too. I just returned my pixel 8 pro today. I had the same issues with the Pixel 6 Pro and will stay away from Pixels for the next few years. I don't want an iPhone, but Apple doesn't have these issues.

Crazy they still have these problems. I have network issues with my pixel 6 so wanting to upgrade but definitely won't be a pixel 8 if still having same problems

Had this Pixel 8 Pro for 12 days and returned to Verizon before my 14 days was up, this phone had nothing but signal issues. For me I am staying with Samsung for the foreseeable future. It sucks because I really like the software but the modem is terrible. It has problems staying connected via wifi to. When it has signal you'll have half the speeds of any iphone or Samsung user sitting right next to you.

None of these work for me on my Pixel 8 Pro. Using Android Auto with it is a no-no as if I am in a weak signal area with poor mobile data when it starts up Android Auto fails but then when I disconnect the phone by turning the car ignition off mobile data on the P8Pro is blocked completely.. even if you move to a good reception area. Network resets don't re-establish mobile data and neither do resets of the phone itself, I've found that the only thing to do is power it off and leave it for maybe 20 minutes, then when powered up again mobile data starts working. You suspect that as it tries to route data between the AA head end and internet (say for Voice and Google Maps) it cannot relay over the mobile data connection quickly enough and corrupts internal memory which is only cleared by the lengthy power-down. There really are some pretty awful bugs in the P8Pro... and Google don't seem interested in even acknowledging them, never mind fixing them, despite their support boards having a large number of AA disconnect/ failure reports.

One issue I experienced is the following self inflicted but not easy to spot. In my home network I deactivated VoLTE months ago for some reason I don't remember. I don't have a 5G contract so Preferred Network is LTE on my phone. When I drive to another country while in roaming my calls sometimes work and sometimes do not work. It works as I enter the country (most probably due to 2G or other non LTE cells) but as soon as I reached a city it stopped working: cannot get called, cannot call people but caN use Data, just no voice. The reason was VoLTE deactivation. I can imagine that being connected to an LTE cell while the home provider only uses LTE for voice with the roaming provider I basically shoot myself in the leg by deactivating VoLTE as there is no way anymore to transport my voice. So, activate VoLTE in case you cannot call or get called. There was no visible error information in my case, no exclamation point, etc..

I had a Samsung A5 in 2017-18 with Exynos (basically Tensor is Exynos too). During that time i was quite often offline due to the great Exynos modem😂. I will never again buy a phone with Exynos SOC unless the selling company and several experts will guarantee me that this shit works without issues!

I think the esim works better then the sim card.. I switch from SIM card to esim and its been working find..

Why would anyone disable 5G? Google just sucks. Got the Pixel last week and now i am gonna get the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Not even Samsung is using the terrible Samsung modem that is Google using on the Pixel for one reason; It sucks.

And now i m having this random disconnects, it's sad very sad, there are allways some shit problems with android that we need to fix it watching videos on youtube. bahh! On iphone the slogan is like nike " Just works and thats all" im very sad that im going to return the phone..
