Worked for me with a Pixel 6a. My phone was working fine until they turned off 3g. After this the mobile data would switch off when making a call. Seems to be fixed now. Thank-you to the OP.

Works in Sri Lanka! Using a pixel7 on Dialog sim. LTE sign changes to 4G, i also connect to the 5g network sometimes but the 5G logo/status doesn't show but works fine.

very useful. The volte lines on my pixel 6 are hidden (gray) maybe because my carrier doesn't support my subscription. However I did see volte in the network settings. Also, your solution helped to fix intermittent disconnection on pixel 6... not 100% but it's awesome... thanks a lot!
