Mr Munchy - hi....i thought i would add this message (purely as info) - on the lineageOs roms - if you have their recovery installed (and not twrp) - then you have to do everything that you've said in your tutorial - but at the install (flash) part - i had to use adb sideload (and ignore the verification error) method (sm-g973f) - and everything is good - cheers to you.

It is used to flash anything ahead with ease. TWRP is a famous custom recovery with simple design and features. Other than that Orange fox recovery provides an attractive interface with the same functionality (Orange fox is based on TWRP).
