In the Manga Cid obviously cracked his neck but I think you might be right that in the anime Cid didn't do it on purpose and that he was just dodging, and that the girl is reading too much into it. Because after Cid walks away from her he moves his neck a little and it still cracks. I think its because of him playing someone with a really bad posture and not something he did on purpose.

Impact... drop a hammer on the floor and it will break... jump while holding a hammer and nothing happens... we do weight more than a hammer and don't go around breaking floor tiles... normally... Pressure is force divided by area... the smaller the area the greater the pressure... impact depends on velocity... our legs cushions the impact whereas a hammer stops instantly... the strength of the impact is distributed through our legs while on a hammer crashing down it goes both to the hammer and the floor directly at the point of impact...

The names you got last time were not wrong... they were just written more or less like they sounded... some other subs actually translated the Japanese Pun Names into English Pun Names...

The Translators went with the English name, only the Japanese version of the series uses Jimina. All the English media: anime, lightnovel, manga, game uses Mundane Mann. So yes the voice actors are saying Jimina Seinen, however it is because they are talking in Japanese, when it gets dubbed to English they will probably also use Mundane Mann.

But it is wrong , when the point is the pun behind the names . Tons of characters , the so called NPCs , have pun based names , like Cid's two mob friends . Using english puns like Po Tato and Skel Etal , is more effective and faithful to the original , than having the plain japanese names , with the wordplay flying over everyone's head , except japanese speakers . Any other time time using the original names would be better ... but here translating the puns , or rather using equivalent wordplays is better .
