Saw you commenting on them dressing like animals and such. Ahri is the blonde, she’s a 9-tailed fox (in Pop/Stars you’ll see all 9 spread out during her part of the 2nd verse). Evelynn has the claws and the evil eyes, she’s a demon/succubus who charms her prey and then kills them (I think it’s legit part of her KDA lore/story that her boyfriends all disappear). Akali (first rapper) is a ninja so she’s human, 2nd verse’s first singer is Kai’sa and she got merged with a void creature but she was fully human at one point. So no it’s not a dressup :) they’re just being them.

If you like to see a face to the singers, 2 of the 4 involved (Soyeon = Akali, the rapper ; Miyeon = Ahri, the blonde fox lady) did a dance cover with a Korean dance studio. Soyeon is the blonde directly at the beginning during her rap and Miyeon is the brunette that you can see at 45 seconds for the first time.

The girl with blue hair is the newest addition to both League and KDA, her name is Seraphine (Lexie Liu), is a magical entity who can hear the souls of others singing to her, and she responds by singing back to them. Evelynn and Kai'Sa are voiced by American singers Madison Beer and Jaira Burns respectively, while Ahri and Akali are voiced by (G)I-dle members Miyeon and Soyeon.

Ahri is half animal designed cause she’s a nine tailed fox based on the Asian lore of kitsunes specifically ones with multiple tails. The most famous of which is the 9 tails. You see it in Naruto and the og Pokémon. Kitsune references appear in the Keanu reeves movie 47 ronin. Evelyn is a demon so based on being sucubus like. Kai’sa has void powers. Akali is a kunoichi so in translation a female shinobi/ninja. She is also one of the first characters ever released in the game

And as good as Popstars is, More is just on another level from that one. The camera movements follow the lyrics and character motions repeatedly throughout the whole thing. The drums... holy shit the drums. There are anywhere from 6 to 10 different drums running with different beats at any time. That opening rap... they didn't just throw graphics up behind her, they built a 3d cg LED screen and used it to project the video graphics behind her... you can see the dots in it, it casts light and shadows like a real one would. They have all the scaffolding that would support it if it were a real set. Their approach to this one was more or less make it like you would make a real video. Legitimate camera movements, you can picture the behind the scenes shoot stuff watching it. Big arcing shot around the 4 of them dancing and the set changes around them. Zoom and rack focus shot to the top of the building but the focus pull misses the mark a little bit and has to come back. The inclusion of a blooper in the video itself. The way the 5th girl's bedroom set pulls apart and fades out is very live theater. The joke is that Riot games is actually a music company that uses the game to sell their records. This is legitimate real musical and artistic talent.

League of Legends have introduced an alternate universes where characters from LoL lead different lives. K/DA is a girlsband in one of those universes and they are literally the best of the best in their world. Hence why "life up on a throne". They are the queens of music in their world. Also metal band Pentakill and rap band True Damage (founded by Akali from K/DA) are in this universe too. Seraphine is a new singer and she is featured in this song, but she's not a member of K/DA. Akali just likes to promote new talents. Also Ahri has fox ears and tails because in the original LoL universe she's a vastaya, a magical hybrid of human and animal. And she's based on an asian legends of kitsune (fox spirits). Same with Evelynn's fangs and tails. She's a demon of suffering. Her appearance of a woman only serves as a bait in order to let her hunt humans easier.

Alright, so. Riot games usually makes videos like this to sell skins. It takes money to make this, but they've got millions of players with bank accounts so it's *easily worth*. But they put in the effort here so people get hyped. Then they've got songs like GIANTS which both sell skins and serve as introduction songs/entertainment for their Tournaments, think NFL half-time that's been spiced out to get these kids hyped. And then there are the songs like RISE which are meant to get the players hyped up for those tourney's as well as for their 'ranked' gameplay. Basically the same game, but where people go to be serious. The story behind those videos are usually linked to either character backstories or pro player history. Each of these videos are supposed to get people hyped up for the game, the tourneys, and in this videos case (with Seraphine, a champion in the game) hyped for characters and the skins going up for sale (most characters/all characters come out with a 'base' skin and a 'paid for' skin. Her showing here was for both)

the gameplays not in a great state atm. and the community is toxic.. but u should def install the game and give it a try. its always worth it just to get the experience of what league is ive played the game since 2012... i hate it but love it because of the content riot gives us.

@@Risktakerjodi if you do poorly it can drag down the team experience, that should be fine for new people but skilled people create new accounts to play against newer opponents and will flame new people on their own team. It's a problem. Best thing to do of a team mate looks to be toxic is mute them. It's a fun game, the community is angry and sweaty. Sometimes you can find some really cool people though. 😎
