Happens in every sate that legalizes. I've heard this debate time and time again. The Feds are working on this by moving Marijuana out of Schedule I into Schedule III, I myself think it should be *descheduled* all together.

Federal and states contradicting each other on laws is unfair to citizens and should be addressed. State law should always override federal or it makes no sense to pass any state legislation.

Under Federal Law Cannabis is still illegal drug, therefore it does not matter if the state passess cannabis laws or not, you still cannot possess a firearm if you are a cannabis user, however a federal state court has ruled this law was unconstitutional and it violated the 2nd but that does not mean entire federal system is going to agree. You do not need a licence to carry a concealed weapon, Ohio is a S2 State. You do not need a licence to conceal, and Ohio is an open carry State.

It is a federal crime to smoke pot while owning guns. It is a federal crime to lie on the form you fill out when purchasing a firearm. Republicans could protect gun owners, but they'd rather not. Instead they are trying to undo the law we the people passed.

I wonder why someone would suggest even getting a concealed license when understanding the constitution is all you need. Yes Ohio has an open carry law and was an open carry State while you needed a license to carry. It's always been an open carry State, Ohio is a traditional open carry state, which means people who legally own firearms may carry them in public places, unless there is a specific prohibition against them. “Open carry” means the firearm is visible to the naked eye and not concealed. There has always been an open carry law in Ohio.

What is the legal exposure of a person , who does not ever use MJ, legally carrying under the "constitutional Carry" law while in the company of a person that is an active user and is carrying both a small amount of MJ and a pipe... No, I believe after 10 years are less, it should be wiped. I've been almost pulled out of my car for having an sr22. for no car insurance, not driving intoxicated on my record. In ohio sr22 means a lot and drunk driving and driving without car insurance classified as the samething. So yeah, it needs fixed.

@@JBBost I'm fairly sure we are reaching a point where the fed can not ignore the issue anymore so hopefully we will get a definite answer in the near future. I also think that your question would only matter if you had an encounter with a federal agent, if I'm not mistaken local police do not inherently have the ability to enforce federal law, i believe there are instances where the federal government can delegate enforcement.
