Thank you very much for the guide. I wanted to update to Banana but I didn't want to set up a new sd card just to do the back up like the MuOS site says. Your method allowed me to use the same SD card 1 and SD card 2 I was using on the system. Very easy to follow guide.

Joey, I fudged up some setting on flycast VL core and couldn't get the Cross hair to come back so I reflashed muos on tf1 card. My sd2(512g) already has everything on it from your guide. All my roms, box art, everything. What do I do? I don't do the Migrate to SD2 right? Can you tell Mr what steps I need to take

Hey still new to roms and bios, when copying all the backup bios onto the muOS bios folder it tells me that some of the bios files are name the same, then it gives me options to replace the files or skip the files, what do I do? Thanks in advance!

everytime I try to migrate to the 2nd card I'm getting an error "there is not enough space for the migration", its an empty 128GB SD so I'm not sure how to fix it, any ideas?

Nice tutorial! But how about ports? How to add artworks to ported games? I've tried to using portmaster scraper, but there is one, JUST ONE, mf game i just can't to add box and screen saves to, and It 's kind of driving me bananas... Is there anyway to add it manually? Thanks!

so hm.... after I migrate to sd2, everything seems fine, but then i put the roms and bios onto the sd2, and when i plug it in and turn on my device, i get the MuOS boot up screen, but then it goes into this yellow background menu (with the same explore content, favorites, history, applications, etc but in text menu instead of like a themed menu), and when i go on explore content, it says "no content found".

@@the_nerdbucket mine worked just now! I tried redoing the process and copied the old BIOS folder to the new one, along with my ROM folder. I'm not entirely sure if the SD card plays a role, but I'll keep monitoring and try adding more ROMs to see what happens. Wishing you luck with the process as well!

Hey Joey, not sure if anyone else has noticed, but when you Favorite a title, it favorites every other instance of that exact title. For example, when favoriting Tomb Raider for PS1, it also favorited Tomb Raider for Game Boy Color. Hope there's an easy fix for this soon! Really hoping I don't have to preface every title with the console, though I probably should. Otherwise, loving MuOS so far on my 40XXH.

Yo dude i have a question about "folder". If i put a console slide like one from epic noir on simplemenu frontend inside the preview folder following the name matching you talk about, will that display on the screen behind the list? Im looking into developing a theme that uses console slides and had this idea watching your video. Hoping this will set me up and ill just need to figure out how to hide the list behind the image

Followed your guide although clearly I've made a mistake somewhere. Upgraded from a prior version to banana. Retroarch doesn't recognize any inputs, doesn't find my bios files on SD2, and is extremely small on the screen.

When I try to assign a new core, they don't actually register it and when I check it again, it's still the previous core selected by default

When going from stock os to muos, will the "existing user" sections apply to setting up the 2nd sd card and moving files over, or will I have to do something differently? Will I be able to still just copy all of my roms and bios over to their respective folders from the stock os card?

thank you for all the time putting this together, but after installing this on my 35SP, it never saves any of the configuration settings - wifi, shutdown options, name settings, you name it. it all just resets to factory everytime i turn off the device i just put the old refried beans OS back on and its fine now. a bit bummed after spending a couple hours on this also i never got splore to launch properly

Because you have to save from "override settings" "Save Override Core" Not from Save Config Settings, if you do it that way it gonna restar every time you launch a game by the same core (GBA for example)

That combo is so crap.... I do the half right screen with the game cover. It looks way much better. I had to tweak a template to make it work. Crossmix for the trimui also does this nice and tight. The covers for a system is also nice project to make next.

after i flashed my 64gb card, it says i only have 2GB max capacity 😢. I tried to expand the unallocated space with disk manager and re formatting it but its still says 2GB. Any advice ?
