Thankfully my brother is smart enough that when he gets his hands on it, he'll be able to add all of his favourite roms, but I'm glad there's some stuff on there for him now in preparation for Christmas day. Do note: 1. If you're in the Discord server, someone is maintaining a script to do boxart scraping. So sooner or later an update might add something more akin to the way OnionOS automatically scrapes box art natively on the handheld's OS. (There's someone else porting freaking Dolphin on here but I'm not spoiling any more surprises) 2. Latest MuOS has "friendly folder name" function which means you can name your folder "FC" and on the content browser that folder will be seen as "Nintendo - Famicom". The folder isn't renamed itself. 3. Likely incremental updates after this release ("BANANA") can be done losslessly by just downloading a much smaller file on the website and using the Application - Archive Manager to extract from it. 4. Non-English viewers who might have had reservations on this OS, "BANANA" has multi-language support!!!

Hey one question here, do they already support Bluetooth as well? Last time I've checked the only OS on the 35XX SP that supported Wifi, Bluetooth, HDMI, tap power button to swap dpad to analog and back and the close the lid to shutdown was the stockOS. I'm on the edge o going CFW because I don't want to lose these features. EDIT: I've got another SD card to install muOS banana just for Portmaster and native pico8 and it's great for these! But I'll keep using stockOS for everything else!

Hey Russ, great vídeo! One important correction: BIOS: The dreamcast bios file should go into a /DC subfolder ( /muos/bios/DC ) or else the emulators will not find it and use the HLE bios with worst performance. It is a libreto standard and not something muOS could change while using RetroArch.

A config change to consider, at least for some systems: Scaling. Under the scaling menu, you can turn bilinear on or off. Off makes everything sharp, but it will look janky if the scaling is fractional -- like GBA, which is between a 2x and 3x scale so some pixel rows and columns will be 2 pixels wide/high and others will be 3. Turning bilinear on makes it fuzzy and smooth like many emulators on computers do by default, but you might not like it do blurry. You could turn on integer scaling, which will force GBA to a perfect 2x scale that doesn't fill the screen. **OR** you could look under video filters. Select the "Normal 2x" filter and enable bilinear. This does a perfect 2x integer scale in the filter, and then does a fuzzy scale from that up to fit the screen -- in my opinion the best option by far. Coincidentally, it also appears to be what the "Game Rooms" emulator on the Anbernic stock OS does. You can also mess with other filters and check out the shaders menu under Quick Settings to get scanlines, simulated composite/RF artifacts, warped picture with curved edges like on a CRT, etc. You can also get a similar effect using no filter, bilinear scale, and then a sharpen shader. Remember, a native system-sized frame comes out of the Retroarch core, then the optional video filter uses CPU power to modify and resize it, then Retroarch scales it to the size to be displayed on the screen again using CPU power, and finally one or more optional shaders use GPU power to apply whatever effects. Since your scaling and filter/shader config is probably specific to each system you emulate, you should save those changes as an override file. In quick settings, manage overrides, and save it as a core, folder or game override file, depending whether you want it to apply to games in that folder, any game run using that core, or just that one game. Also, Syncthing sounds interesting. I have an SP and am somewhat considering getting a 40XXV. My first inclination was to put the OS and any sort of configs I want to be console-specific on TF1, and then move TF2 between the two like I would with a game cartridge or floppy, but now I have a couple options.

EDIT: Ross seems to be fond of working directly with the SD2 card, but as many porters working on portmaster ports know: SCP/SFTP is invaluable. Just connect to wifi, activate them, and just push anything you want to the device directly. No cursing that you have just clipped your nails. If you like ArkOS for its ability to quickly save state, shutdown and power on and immediatelly back into your RA game with quick resume, youll going to be blown away by muOS. I also love the quick, mostly text focused menu (using VBgo theme), because, after a while, I stopped caring about box art and just spend my time playing games on a tram, bus, metro, waiting at the doctors or whatever. 5 mins is good enough for a quick game with muOS.
