Can’t wait to see your Deep Dive episode on Johnny. I loved that character and loved Muppets Tonight.

Sounds like it was quite an episode. Might have to check it out someday. One little thing I have to point out, though. Richard Hunt's death wasn't exactly recent at the time. He had been dead for four plus years. Just wanted to let you know. Rest in peace, Tony Bennett.

“The Beatles…” “Whatever…” This is so funny to me, as you notice my very Italian last name, my father Vinny once told me, “Yeah, when the Beatles started having big hits, I didn’t like them because they kept knocking Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons out of the number one spot.”

Wow, I'd heard that Star Trek: Deep Space Nine ripped off Babylon 5, but apparently they also ripped off Muppets Tonight! In the DS9 episode, "His Way", Odo asks holographic lounge singer Vic Fontaine (played by James Darren) for advice on how to tell Kira that he loves her. Vic has Odo practice asking her out and going on dates, etc., with a holographic version of Kira. On the last date Vic pulls a switcheroo and arranges for the real Kira to be there, unbeknownst to Odo, who thinks she's still the hologram version.
