There's a trick to this: Thargoids target by heat signature. The CMDR popped a heatsink before rebooting and rebooted at 6% heat, bugs can't see you if you're under 20. So it wasn't being polite...it was blind, and since the ship wasn't generating heat during the reboot sequence it couldn't see to target until after everything was back online.

@Tooterbooter Жыл бұрын
Oh my god… it’s the timing of it. They deployed a heatsink and rebooted right after a heart was destroyed. The Thargoid is in a state where it’s trying to lock on with a missile; not with main cannons, so it is locked here while their ship is cold! With main cannons, the Thargoid can still shoot in your direction while gold, but the shots cannot track you, but they aren’t being shot at because the Thargoid prepared a missile 🤯 I might be wrong about what the Thargoid is doing, but it has to do with the timing

@MuQuuu4 жыл бұрын
After destroying goid's heart, if you keep cooling your ship at a distance of more than 800m, goid will somehow not recognize you until the next phase. During this time, I am rebooting my ship. This is the so-called cold reboot technique. Please note that this technique cannot be used after the first heart destruction. The state where the goid keeps emitting yellow light. Also, if the heat is raised to 20 ° C or higher, or if you approach it carelessly, Goid will notice this and attack with corrosive missiles. A heat sink or thermal vent beam is required. :)

@djgamer4574 жыл бұрын
Why the ram after the reboot? Also why does the Hydra not act after a Heart is destroyed?
@MuQuuu4 жыл бұрын
This timing is the easiest to ram. Basically, the interceptor moves so that it doesn't bump into us. But when it swarms, it moves in a monotonous manner. However, when it swarms, it moves with a slight angle. Also, if the Interceptor is chasing you when you swarm, it will try to get away from you while swarming. On the other hand, if the Interceptor is running away from us, it will come after us with a swarm. In both cases, the interceptor will move at a slight angle when you try to hit it with the ram. It is very difficult to hit the ram in both cases. However, after destroying the heart, if you and the interceptor stay where you are and don't move until the next phase starts, ramming the interceptor will be very easy. Also, if you keep the hull temperature below 20 degrees Celsius after the heart is destroyed, the interceptor will not move until the next phase. You can do the same with all interceptors. That's how it works. I'm not sure why XD However, this tactic is effective from the second phase onwards, and cannot be used in the first phase.
