I have the same problem, killed the spider 10 times in the last few days but no Violet Ore. Has anyone already solved the problem?

It's not by the spider for me. It was on the path leading down to the guarded treasure chest to the West of the door. Hope that makes sense.

How come every guide video I watch the person can get nothing to aggro even if they literally touch the enemy yet I can be behind walls and a door and the enemy agros dozens of meters away, wtf bro?!

So my crimson ore finally showed up weeks later but now the one the spider is protecting is gone? Before when I was too low of level to kill the spider it was there, but now I’m level appropriate it’s missing

Also dude, The Elegant Violet ore you said you couldn’t get without beating boss, load of crap, not to mention first item I couldn’t sneak by big plant guy to get it I had waste an hour killing him. So maaaaaybbe the game is bs with this side quest running the length of the campaign as the boss for first item has 12million health, in the first freely explorable area a boss with 12million health which by time quest leading back there unlocks you wouldn’t naturally be PvP 32 or higher
