Literally the best band in the world talent-wise. Complete monsters of music. I like the fact they arent HUGE, bc you can still see them for $14 and talk to them after the show. But they really SHOULD be gigantic!

John Evens, I've seen these guys play live multiple times... met them a few times as well.... if you watch Sarah play at the shows, she might now show a lot of facial expression, but the expression she shows with her body and how expressive she is, is simply amazing. You honestly can't take your eyes off her, she captivates. Hands down the best shows ive ever been to and can't wait to go again!

these two are performers. everytime i hear them i have goose bumps. his rough old soul voice with her strong BASS-ful cello sound, it's a match made in musical heaven.

I love this band. Saw them live in Santa Fe and it was the best show I've ever attended. I wish they'd come to El Paso, TX one of this days :):

I regret to admit that I'm just now getting acquainted with this tune and this band. I didn't know that "they" still made music as good as this tune is. Chapeau!

I was lucky enough to be at a pool party a few years ago, and Like The Exorcist got played on my friends Ipod. I sought them out after that, and they've been near the top of the list for my favorite bands ever since.

I was at that show. I expected a band with the name Murder by Death to be all white face paint and and blast beats. I was blown away. It made my night. Tallheart wasn't bad either.

First time i heard of these guys live was Dec 8, 2007 Opening for Flogging Molly with Dusty Rhodes and The River Band at The Fillmore Auditorium in Denver. It was a shit storm from HELL take a 5hr drive and make it into a 12 hour drive thru a blizzard and straight ice on the highway. Dusty Rhodes cancelled but GOD DAMN WHAT A SHOW!! MBD played and no one in denver even swayed to the beat... sad... but look at these bastards now killin it!!! wonderful

Saw these guys with Odeath in Philly, drank and BS'd a bit with Odeath's bassist. He was one hell of a guy....think he plays Orcs but don't quote me on it. He was super cool to a young kid who wanted his john Hancock too. MBD was absolutely phenomenal too.

Not exactly but if anything is a good indication about them getting more recognized it's in the kickstarter thing they started for their latest album. It's ironic too because they started mainly as band just fucking around and as a joke....now Adam is taking it seriously along with the others. Well they still have their awesome sense of humor too.

I went to a say anything show and didn't recognize any of the openers. I thought Murder by Death was gonna be some stupid ass "hardcore" band...they came on right before say anything did...needless to say I was PLEASANTLY surprised. I really love this band now, they're creative and original. The broad range of instruments drew me in off the bat, and I was set for life once I saw the accordian/keyboard player pull out a trumpet in their second song of the night. Keep it up, guys (and girl!), I l

man, i've been listening to them since who will survive. how do you thing i feel!?
@jonathanrivera89384 жыл бұрын
I realize this is 7 years late but I was getting nostalgic. Got into them on "like the excorcist but more breakdancing". Kind of had a more downtrodden "and you will know us by the trail of dead" feel. Give that a listen if you want a good groove. Hard to believe it's been 18 years....

Well, in a trailer to a mainstream movie. Lots of bands who aren't super well known get their songs used in trailers. Coming Home isn't on the soundtrack. They do have a very good sized following, but I still think they're very far from being a huge band. They still pretty much only play the smaller venues, and aren't always the headliners. Not talking down about them, they're in my top 3 favorite bands.

Great take! But ease off the compression next time (or maybe it's just a result of compressing/uploading to the web?). Sounds super squished. Great work though, and THANKS. Can't wait for this record.
@UncleHappyHands12 жыл бұрын
I just hope they don't end up sell-outs like The Black Keys, also a good band, but MBD so much more original. By the way Black Keys didn't sell out because they still create their own sound but every commercial i hear is their song, so i just contradicted myself...or did I?

haha. I feel like a hipster now because I remember them before he sounded like Johny Cash.
@LarsOle8911 жыл бұрын
They are not big, looking at what "big" in the music industry means. I could tell a 1000 people that I listed to MbD and not one would know who they are. They are never talked about on the radio, there is no reviews of their work in the papers and they don't have the records in the local record shop, or any record shop in the country. So I would not give them "big". What they do have are a solid fanbase!
