The 90's had the best made for tv suspense movies. Robert Urich had such a likeable "everyman" quality; he was both a guy's guy and a girl's guy. This and "Blind Man's Bluff" are two terrific mysteries with him. Good cast. Thanks for posting.

Robert Urich was a fine actor and a great looking man. It was very sad when Robert died from a rare cancer of the joints after a very public battle. He was in the process of writing his memoirs when he took a turn for the worse and died in hospital at the age of 55. I cant believe it has been 18 years since he passed away. Lovely man.

@@mcveljo I know this reply is 2 years late, but I think the diary Robert Urich found was the "real Alan's" mother's diary, so he (the real Alan/the killer) was the traumatized child who was fixated on guest number 7 due to what he saw happen to his father and mother.

Who keeps documents you want to hide in the bathroom in the top drawer? How was the amnesia guy identified in the first place? How did the ID of the other guy get on him? And it had no picture? 1) Good point 2) Good question. I think it's implied that the property manager made sure the police got that wrong. They don't explain how. Theoretically he could have come forward when his tenant didn't come home. 3) Right. And what about the restaurant manager? How did he recognize Robert Urich if he'd never seen his picture? I agree, these were some of the many plot holes. It was still well acted and the main twist was clever enough, imo.

Oh, such a good point. I was thinking the manager looking worried was a reflection of them trying to make us think the manager was up to no good. But now it does make sense that his worry was related to thinking Urich wasn't the real Alan. Still, I'm confused as to how the manager would just approach Urich, call him Mr. Strong, and introduce himself (Stewart Kesler).

I agree with you!! But weird… did I miss something or why did that neighbor > the “real Alan”, (I know, he is a serial killer) kill/ target people that were customers at the restaurant “Puzzles”..? & why did he just pick people from the restaurant’s guestbook? > and always guest number 7?? Was that just his SICK, TWISTED way of ‘picking his victims..?’ Hmm 🤔 🤨 THANK YOU for your reply!! 🙂🤓 😎

I'll be watching this soon. I LOVE Michael Ironside and feel he is SO underappreciated! And that wonderful, sneaky smile of his.. oh, melt my heart!

The detective character is great, tough, pushy, unlikeable, funny, sarcastic, and Michael Ironside plays him great, understated.
