Murder of a Rice Farmer (Part II) - Episode 276 - 28th July 2013

Madhusudan, a well to do rice farmer in West Bengal is threatened to shell out Rs. 50,000/- or else face the consequences. Madhusudan's fears come true a few nights later, when six masked men ransack the house, manhandle Shrabani, and kill Madhusudan. Madhusudan's son Sumit tells the police that the attackers had done something wrong with his mother. The doctor treating Shrabani tells the police that Shrabani has been sexually assaulted. Sumit reveals to the police that one of the attackers had urged the others not to commit the act of violating Shrabani. He further tells the police that he saw the face of the man who was trying to stop the others from assaulting his mother, and this man is somebody that he knows. The revelation takes the police to Behala village where they zero in on Amit Sen, who has not been seen around since Madhusudan's murder. Is Amit Sen the key to Madhusudan's murder?

It is difficult to comprehend the damage, but the cracks are there.Feelings... expressions. Misunderstood, unresolved callings of the heart. The cracks are there. Too wide to be missed. Yet when the heart takes over the mind, the outcome is a mindless tragedy.Crime Patrol- Dastak will attempt to look at the signs, the signals that are always there before these mindless crimes are committed. Instincts/Feelings/Signals that so often tell us that not everything is normal. May be, that signal/feeling/instinct is just not enough to believe it could result in a crime. Unfortunately after the crime is committed, those same signals come haunting.
