In defense of Miu and Teruteru: Miu targeted Kokichi because he's annoying and nobody likes him. He didn't show his true intelligence until AFTER her murder plan, so Miu assumed he was all bark and no bite. And Teruteru didn't know Nagito's talent was an actual superpower. Everyone thought Ultimate Lucky Student was just an useless title.

Infinite Luck sounds weak until one realizes that 99% of existance can be influenced by random factors. I just look at the character in the Yu-gi-oh! Toei anime who just guessed where a secret gun is stored, input the complex code on the first try to unlock the case, and had the gun jam while pointing it at himself fully loaded, just to make a point about being broken overpowered.

Also, she tried to lie to someone who is peerless in that field. she saw kokichi see trough lies easily in the last trials. Kokichi is one of the smartest students in this class so him figuring her intentions is no surprise. The funny thing is that is she had switched her intended target and scapegoat, her plan could’ve worked. Kaito is an idiot that wouldn’t see her true motive and Kokichi is someone nobody trust. It would be more believable because even if she had succeeded, nobody would buy that an idiot like Kaito who Kokichi couldn’t stand would be able to fool Kokichi and know how to edit the virtual world.

I mean yeah. If you look at Naegi, he is also the “ultimate lucky student” and he was in fact kind of normal. Sure, he did have some weird stuff going on with luck, but nothing Nagito level. Even us, as the audience, assume Nagito is lucky in the same was as Naegi, especially after he loses the drawing. Us as the player might think him losing the drawing is going to end up being good luck somehow, like how Naegi having the “bad luck” of his bathroom door not working properly turns out to be good luck, but Nagito’s “good luck” being he can set up a murder plan is completely crazy.

Yeah like Sakura and Peko and Nekomaru arguably had the best chances to axe the whole class in their retrospective games but they didn’t because ultimately they were not selfish people. They in away sacrificed themselves for the rest of the class. Sakura and Nekomaru was 100% intentional because they had a high view of their own honor to basically take fatal actions to buy the rest extra time. Peko did it out of her own love and devotion. And that then circles back to Danganronpa 3 anime with what happened before that stared cracking the foundation of Hope’s peak Academy. You had several student murders happen and that affects 77B and 78A as Junko’s toys to mess with.

To be fair, leaving him in the lab would make it take longer for a body discovery compared to putting the body in the tank for everyone to see the very next morning. Since Ryoma tends to be a loner, people wouldn’t go looking for him for a while unless Kirumi provides an incentive. But then that’d make her suspicious. Ryoma’s beanie would’ve been better to use on the zip-line as long as Kirumi puts her hand inside and uses it like a mitt. And if a part of the beanie falls into the pool? It wouldn’t point to her being the culprit. Also, the inner tube wouldn’t even be evidence if Monosuke didn’t say the culprit could stand on the gym’s windowsill. That’s what helped Shuichi realize the inner tube helped with the transportation of Ryoma’s body somehow.

@ Being the one to find Ryoma’s body would still make her a suspect, just because of the fact that there would be no other suspects. As for the evidence thing, I already said that Kirumi had no way of knowing Monosuke was going to say the culprit could stand on the windowsill. If it weren’t for that info, Shuichi wouldn’t have been completely sure the transportation of Ryoma was window to window, so no figuring out that there had to be a ropeway. That would mean the inner tube isn’t solid evidence, and leaves the piece of the glove as the only evidence, which they wouldn’t know was evidence without knowing about the ropeway now that I think about it. (Basically Monosuke says standing on the windowsill’s okay, this confirms a ropeway was used, Shuichi infers the inner tube was for the ropeway, then infers the black cloth fell from friction while using the ropeway) Kirumi didn’t take into account that Monosuke would give away a key detail like that, so she took the opportunity for an earlier body discovery that obscures the time of death and also frames Himiko.

So Leon was a person she could actually call out without them being reasonably suspicious of her. 1-5 I don't think she was really expecting Makoto to sacrifice himself for her, cause until that point, Kyoko never trusted a person to that extent.It was a pretty fundamental part of her character. I would say it's more sensible to think that she had to desperately try to save herself from getting convicted in the trail

Sayaka was mentally unstable so it is really possible that she thought *only* having to kill would lead to instant-escape; practically a patient zero with a brand new virus. But what actually got my head in the THH is that Hope's Peak is *already* an established academy whom the graduated talents have already find their jobs. There's proof that there're already 2 classes in Hope's Peak, one that Kosuke, Chisa and Juzo has already graduated, and Chiaki's class. Did they actually think the authorities have abandoned them? Did they find their class was *odd* compared to their seniors? Did they not hear about the graduates before they were scouted around 2 years ago. If they really dunno about them, did they really just decide to join a mystery school that appeared out of nowhere with possible ZERO legal registration? [Evidence section; you MAY skip] In the beginning, there's a log that says "This year's ultimate pop sensation is joining". Mind you "This year's" , implies that there was already an ultimate idol for the previous year. Meaning they had one year of info on Hope's Peak. Sayaka who's canonically trying to be the top fragger in the idol industry, without a doubt, will try to gain info on her rivals. Most importantly, did they really think no one would notice that only one of em just come out of the school? For Sayaka, a person who's on copium of her fame, did not think that she would be suspected in the outside world? Sure, she's went psychosis so can't rely on her for future planning but did other thinks that they won't be suspected that they're the only one out there with others missing? Is there a plot armour that I've just missed?

I'm not really sure what your question is, but it sounds like you are wondering how did Sayaka plan to get away with the murder after leaving Hopes Peak? My answer to that is that I don't think she truly thought everything through. She was panicking after seeing her band mates in danger in the video. If anything her plan was the same as in the short term; pin it on someone else. Makoto was going to take the fall in the short term to escape the school, and once she escaped, she could just blame the kidnappers. Worse comes to worse, she can play the victim card and say the kidnappers forced her to do it. A couple of side notes: >"...so it is really possible that she thought only having to kill would lead to instant-escape; practically a patient zero with a brand new virus." This is correct. The class trial wasn't revealed until after the first murder had occurred, so as far as Sayaka knew she only had to kill. >"Did they actually think the authorities have abandoned them?" Not really, but they had extremely low faith in the authorities. It was a combination of: all of them getting kidnapped at the same time, seemingly trapped in a famous location, the heavy fortifications trapping them, and Monokuma's nagging. No, Hope's Peak was quite famous and well established. Makoto and his classmates were the 78th class, so Hope's Peak had been around for generations. She didn't had much of a choice, tbh. It was either him, Hifumi or Hiro. And the last two also had physical advantages while being more aware, which would lower her chances of winning. Seriously, Leon was her safest bet there!

@Xxsorafan Not necessarily. It was partially discussed within the trial itself. Makoto would have a hard time blaming Sayaka in the first place, because he's too soft. And even IF he tried to sold her out - there would be little to none evidence against her and most people wouldn't believe him. Plus - the element of the clout: "A totally forgettable kid, or a national superstar - who are you more likely to believe?" - a direct quote from the trial. Even WITH Hina's and Sakura's testimony it wouldn't be enough to convict her. Again - there's way too little evidence. She would just need to switch the nameplates again, take back the note she had written from Leon's dead body, and return the keys before the discovery of the body. There would be ony 1 direct evidence agains her - the imprint of a memo in the notepad. She had a good chance of winning this case. Not the best or foolproof, but much more decent than you might think.

Kaede: goal to escape not to pass trial so... Maid: legit just kill in lab, your cover was correct Korekiyo: only kill Angie,it was unsolvable without other murder. That ass: Her planning was good if ahe got kill off. In actuality very hard for her to know about reason Gonta worked for Kokichi. Kaito: stay in the Gundam suit to win and stop answering questions after a point but his and Kokichi goals were misaligned.

Unmentioned in the video: Kirumi. If the girl wasn't so hellbent on framing Himeko, all she could've done was left Ryoma where she drowned him in. No zipline trick that'd leave evidence behind, nothing that could've immediately point to her as the killer.

Sometimes I feel like a straight approach is better. Imagine for exemple if Hifumi killed Taka without Celes knowing, and not making the Justice Hammer? Nobody would have an alibi because everyone was supposed to be in their bedrooms. Same for Kirumi, who was mentioned, just leaving Ryoma's body in his lab would be enough, nobody would have an alibi as well

Altho, I must say, the suicidal thing could be considered as unloved, because people who are truly in suicide risk tend to have the twisted idea that they are wanted dead from this earth, that their death would be celebrated, the feeling of being undesired and wanted out is what drives people to their suicide, tak for example, Kurt Kobain, if we read his final letter, we understand he didn't really wanted to leave, but he thought he was doing a sacrifice and an act of love due to being undesired, which leads us to Unloved being rather similar to suicidal... Honestly this video is kinda missing some points brought up in the games. Sayaka: Had reason to choose Leon due to his desire to become a Musician, giving her an easy bait to bring him to her. Not to mention he's a playboy. And incredibly stupid. Honestly he was the perfect murder victim because regardless if she stabbed him he'd bleed. That being said she was screwed due to the golden katana which she herself didn't account for. Otherwise her plan works. Frame Makoto, everyone believes her over a nobody with zero evidence, easy. Also it's possible that the walls were too soundproof to hear if Leon was still in the room or not, so she couldn't know for sure until morning when Makoto would come to check on her, in which case she could say Leon attacked her. Who are you gonna believe? The hurt innocent pop star girl? Or the knife-wielding baseball playing MAN. Teruteru: His plan was actually pretty good, at this point in the game we didn't know how lucky Nagito was until AFTER the trial, where it was revealed he used luck to win the drawing, and luck is what ultimately saved him. Prior everyone just knew the lucky student was a lottery winner and that was about it. So it wasn't entirely out of the idea that he could kill Nagito. Also the scream was to make sure he had an alibi during the blackout aka the time of the murder, since everybody without an alibi was instantly suspected. Miu: Her plan was by far the best one in all honesty, due to how complicated it was to understand. She made an ideal realm in which only she could commit murder, making it so no weapons could exist, everyone was the same strength, and Kokichi could easily be touched and become Paralyzed. As well as easy escape plan and a possible person to blame. Not to mention, Kokichi had no friends at this point. So she had no reason to suspect he would be with anybody else. Especially Gonta, who would never kill, even she knew that. And yet she was cornered due to some expert manipulation from Kokichi to make Gonta do whatever he said. Kirumi: She wanted to confuse everyone on where the death took place, this kill wouldn't work otherwise since Alibis would possibly single her out, and the idea was to trick people to think he died to the Piranhas, not drowning. Again the only reason she was caught was because she dropped something in the pool as well as fabric from her gloves. Korekiyo: Required a second kill because it was far too easy to deduce how Angie died, due to it being a rushed crime, he didn't know the rule about the first murderer being spared and only the second murderer mattering, but this made the trial last much longer and overall could've saved his ass. But he was too sloppy with it all in order to please his twisted desires to have incest with his dead sister. Celestia: To be fair I think she went to frame someone just to draw suspicion away from her, though she honestly pushed too hard and was far too eager to vote Hiro. Not to mention the real issue was the partner she chose. It was practically required in order to get this kill done in the first place, but honestly she would've been better with a different plan entirely if that was the case.

I don’t think the problem with Sayaka’s plan was Leon being 10x stronger, but the golden sword being in the room giving him something to defend himself with. In my opinion, the plan would have worked better if she put the sword away in the bathroom… then again, if her plan worked, the gold would be on her hands and she would be found out right away. Yeah it wouldn’t have worked either way but at least it’s the thought that counts 🤷🏻‍♂️

I ain't exactly shipping, but I kinda thought Sayaka's plan involves honey trapping Leon and maybe stab him for a sure kill while she's on top o' him or something. Maybe involve bondage tying his hands to increase chances of success. I'd say it's a better plan than just attack Leon when he is standing with free hands to retaliate. Then again, this plan kinda wouldn't work unless Sayaka will implicate Makoto by calling him gae.

With teru nagitos luck had only shown to be terrible because he got stuck with the job nobody else wanted. With Miu the avatars all had the same strength and she had complete control over the virtual world, she wouldve erased her tracks and had the right idiot to pin kokichis murder on. None of these guys were even that smart and you still couldnt bring up a valid critique as to why their plans were bad aside from teru yelling from under the floor 😅
