I bought and played Raincode in that exact hope, and my fucking God, it's so BORING. Like holy fuck there's absolutely nothing to it. A bunch of random nobodies you don't even know die and you're supposed to give a fuck and be invested? Fuck that bullshit. Kodaka is genuinely a hackfraud. He cannot capture lightning in a bottle again. he's a talentless hack. i always considered rain code to be danganronpa 4 and 100 line to be danganronpa 5 tbh, rain code doesnt have 16 students but they do have multiple detectives with special abilities (like ultimates) and is a murder mystery with investigation and trial segments where the killer is "punished" at the end, 100 line goes back to an academy setting where the students are trapped, you have a headmaster, you get free times, but the main gameplay is completely different with it being an SRPG, both also have kodaka as director/writer, and use the same character designer and music composer as danganronpa so they both have Danganronpa's DNA within them

The detectives aren’t the killers, but one really fun aspect as that they all effectively have their own ultimate talent, but you get to use their talent as your talent is basically mimicry. It’s much more supernatural, with actual supernatural elements, but ultimately you still slash at the contradictions and lies, to find the truth. Basically the investigation side is different in gameplay, but the trials are the same. It even uses pink blood!

@@luck2626There were moments where, even when I figured out pieces of the mystery ahead of time, I still didn’t figure things out until the game wanted me to. Plus, there’s a couple plot twists that absolutely nobody predicted but were hinted at the whole time. I highly recommend it.

​@@espurr94the culprits aren't the detectives. I'm just gonna explain the general structure. Most chapters involve the main character trying to solve a mystery with specific detectives. I would say this structure is worse than danganronpa. Because that means detectives mostly get their development and importance from one chapter. And if you find any of them annoying, that means your stuck with them for the chapter.

This game was announced by Too Kyo alongside the company's unveil in 2018 as "Extreme x Despair," and they said it was a spiritual crossover between Zero Escape (Extreme Escape in Japan) and Danganronpa. We didn't hear anything about it for 5 years, and it was re-announced recently as Hundred Line. They did confirm it is the same game in an interview.

If this does end up happening, I just hope they come up with a different final puzzle than reusing the stupidly easy one from the PC version. I know they can’t use the original final puzzle due to the lack of two screens, but Another Code found a way. Just give the final puzzle a challenge worthy of being the final puzzle.

Dude Rain Code is sooo effing good it's disgusting and the end had me off my seat like "BRUH AINT NO WAYYY". You NEED to play it. If you like Dangan it has literally every aspect about Dangan in it from the humor to style, just basically different minigames and an overarching theme but it just scratches all the itches you get for a good mystery and adds so much more. Just imagine a whole organization of Ultimate detectives but with their own sub-ultimate talent. I waited to play it since it just got ported to PS5 in October. So worth the wait. I'll eat up anything this man puts out.

Well, technically. This is also an Uchikoshi game. Signs point to our protagonist having time powers (activated by blood), so massacre type endings will enable going back to make different decisions. In the Zero Escape trilogy, there's really only one 'true' ending.

Y'know the aU fanart people make of the characters? Such as making maki more 'punk' and Junko a very typical gyaru ( not just a 'model')? This is what that looks like stylistically to me.I I swear blue haired girl (Darumi) looks like an AU Ibuki Mioda, main character looks like a young Leon to me, , girl in the screenshot at 3:15 gives me kirigiri vibes if she was to dress in a softer fashion, girl at 5:05 looks like 6 different characters at once aesthetic wise, could pass as a more sensible 'her' (the cosplayer girl from v3, cant remember her name), a more calm and collected Toko with Byakuya's style, and even a bit of Peko. Then in the art at 6:15 you have characters that look like (from left to right) a more polite and soft maki or celeste (2nd), a gymgirl/jogger/non religious Angie (13th) and a softer styled Byakuyua (15th) These are all just what i see but if it doesn't just look like an AU i dont know why i get that many vibes. anyone else see an AU version of danganronpa characters or just me?

I was watching the Nintendo Direct where this got revealed, and I screamed in excitement when I realized what it was. I can’t wait to play it, especially since there are many details in the reveal trailer that already show that it’s much different from Danganronpa. Also, the reveal trailer said “15 other students”, not 14, so I bet they’re trying to hide the last student from the marketing and accidentally gave them away in the reveal trailer.
