Thank u so much for doing these videos Michael, I've been watching interviews of u for over 10 years, and I'm so happy u have your own KZbin channel now (one of the very few I've subscribed to). I have to say you're one of the most fascinating people I've ever heard speak, you're so cool and down to earth, and with a beautiful sense of morality too that we can all learn something from. U and your father have lived extraordinary lives, and the fact that u were able to walk away from the mob life, and for the right reasons, shows what an amazing human being u are! Speaking of your father (rest in peace), I love hearing Sonny Franzese stories, and u once told a story about him for some documentary, when u were a kid and u and your family were out to dinner one night, and there were cops there following your father. As u told it, one of the cops passed by your table and said something disrespectful to your father, so your father jumped up and went after the cop, the cop got scared and pulled his gun out, and your father said one of the coolest lines I've ever heard, which was "pull the trigger, I'll drop u before u get a shot off". lol now that's a gangster line! I would love to hear a more in-depth telling of that story, I really want to know what that cop said to him :) Again, thank u for all these wonderful videos, hope there's many more to come! and happy holidays to u and your family

Mr Franzese, with all due respect I've been immersed in the mob subculture for 33 years. It's a way of life that doesn't allow you to escape from its influence. For me it's been a very bloody brutal battle from the murders and lynchings ECT... From my experience the mob has so much potential and power to end and begin things and only the chosen few will endure the hardships and not hold grudges against fellow gangsters and associates. My grandparents live in New Orleans La, aka " Murder Capital". The influence the mob has had on my family is something I have often resented. You have helped me to make peace with the burden of being involved indirectly. Being desensitized to violence opens doors to allow the most horrific experiences to materialize. God has to be real because man can play God but ultimately can't with 100% efficiency. My life story is similar to yours, I've seen this on a scale of diabolical proportion. Being sucked in the undertow of the lifestyle and trying to find a saving grace is a true test of human strength. All I can do is pray for you and ask that you continue to mentor the younger generation. Not saying they shouldn't want to experience life, just don't let the illusion of grandeur become a black hole and a double edged sword. Anyone that's ever whiteness a murder is forever changed. Anyone who commits to be a gangster needs to know it's a full time job and probably one of the most if not the most dangerous job in the world. Some things are better left unsaid and I don't want to say to much. God bless you Mr Franzese. At first I couldn't rap my mind around the concept of "Nessisary Evil" and still can't. Some people have to die so that others can live. Having Faith in what you believe in will see you through this life. God bless.

Today's the 2nd anniversary of my Mom's passing & I wish I could sit down & talk with you. After all you've been through & remained positive, makes me feel even more inept. I pray you & your family have a very Merry Christmas & continue to recieve the Lord's Blessings.

Hi Michael - I have a question. There’s a rule that says only the commission can approve the killing of the head of a mafia family. My question is why didn’t John Gotti go to the head of commission to ask for permission for killing Paul Castellano. If this was done, perhaps there may have been fewer killings.

I believe the Menendez brothers when they said in court the reason they killed their parents was the sexual abuse from their father all of their lives hilst their mother knew it was going on and did nothing. You can tell they are genuine when they are explaining in court what abuse they went through. Whether this justifies them killing them is another matter, either way i think they should have been released years ago.
