As usual this is beautifully researched. I am so glad you placed Len Cariou at No. 1. Years ago I had the pleasure of knowing him and his wife Heather when he replaced Ned Beatty in the National Tour Of SHOW BOAT. Len introduced me to Judy Kaye as well (Tony winner for PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT). Lovely couple. Interesting piece of trivia, but Angela Lansbury never really liked the theme for MURDER, SHE WROTE but at the beginning she did not own the show as she did in later years and did not have the kind of creative control she later had. She never fully intended staying with the show originally for 12 Seasons, having intended on doing a sit-com version of DRIVING MISS DAISY, but as she gained full artistic control of the show, and having so many family members involved in the production, it didn’t make financial sense to quit this ‘goldmine.’ Incidentally she really is a nice, beautiful and wonderful human being. She holds the record for most Emmy Nominations with no wins, and I can name at least three times she should have won. At least once for MURDER, SHE WROTE, as Host of the 1982 TONY AWARDS (she did that marvelous rendition of Bosom Buddies with Bea Arthur) and for THE BLACKSHIP LIGHTHOUSE (one of the last times Hallmark Hall Of Fame tackled a serious topic).

Angela Lansbury month to kick off Murder, She Wrote channel? Eh? Ehhh??? I would hit subscribe on that so hard . . . Thus far, my favorite guest star has definitely been Dean Jones (I prefer his performance as suspect/astronomer in the fourth season) but I literally just started season four, so I reserve the right to change my answer. ;)

Almost all the mash characters were on murder she wrote, the dean jones episode season 4 we had one more actor and he is the president Harrison Ford's son Steven and he got murdered.
