Literally every single person in these situations has their own unique set of....issues I guess (?) with which they bring into a situation. Issues like how they were raised, what kind of experiences they had growing up, what insecurities they have, education or lack of education...it's easy to look at anything from our own set of experiences but even your experiences and personality is different than mine so how anyone else behaves would be different than how I would behave. I feel like their religion had a lot to do with it in this particular case but I’ll never understand why people try to basically force a relationship. Both sides of my family are pretty “traditional” and religious (not crazy religious though) but even they have enough sense that they always said that you need to value your dignity over a relationship. The people that stay “for the kids” but never actually resolve their issues also just teach their kids that dysfunctional relationships are normal. Struggle is temporary and heartbreak is temporary. If someone tells you they’re done with the relationship, accept it and leave.

Theirs another Chris who killed his family - Chris Foster. In 2008, in rural Shropshire, England, he killed his wife, his daughter, her horses and the family's dogs, drove a horsebox to the gates to block emergency services, set the house on fire (he was a fire expert, running an initially successful business which had failed due to his overspending), then lay down beside his wife. All because he couldn't face the family knowing he'd lost the money and their lifestyle.Always gets me, every time.

I agree, get a life away from them. You can even change your whole identity and get a crooked eyes and nose, so nobody can identify you! The most important fact here is, by leaving for a mistress or anither man if vice versa, you are leaving them of another life with hope, faith and perhaps a better life someday. Life is precious. Just have hope even They struggle and gave hardships, but with hardworking or perseverance, life becomes a better life than death. In dying, we are left with hopelessness, endings to be able to see what maybe the future could bring to us. Perhaps, still with a bit hardships but not for long if we work hard to a better future.

I don't believe that she knew what was going on... he says he told her & the financial situation was going downhill but I don't believe that he would be able to admit that it was his fault. He had grandiose complexities so I think he explained it to her in a esy that he was a victim of outside situations & he would be vindicated in some way like he's getting a huge sum of money for the situation his family was financially in. I don't believe he was capable of acknowledging to his wife he's the reason for the current situation they found themselves in, but she either had to know her husband or he was that good of a liar to have her completely fooled and misguided

@@dietdrpepper15if she wasn’t disfellowshipped why would she lose friends? That isn’t true, she probably lost them because she moved around with him and probably didn’t keep in touch with. This is from someone who knows btw. Not someone who just hears rumors about JW. There is NO WAY she would be treated any different because of her husbands actions. One thing that sticks out to me with not only this case but the other two Chris cases is the fact that their religion played a huge role in their decision to annihilate their families I think it say a lot that they are willing to kill their entire family rather than deal with the shame of divorcing that will come with their strict religious circles and social groups

Sorry to write about myself. Watching such videos I realised it's a small miracle I survived my childhood. My father did try to strangle my mother in front of me and my brothers. My mother once threaten to kill me if I didn't clean my room properly. Parents got a divorce, father hid his earnings, so the child support was laughably low and yet he told me he wanted to give up his custody of us to not pay. To immature, narcissistic parents children are not people, but audience, assistants and causellors. And the worst part is that mental health pofessionals take the side of the parents. So I understand other victims who never received any help. You can ask for help many times and never receive any.

Very well told story. I am a former NY Times employee, though I worked there long after this incident, and I disagree with them publishing an op-ed from this sociopath. It was an appeal for him to be able to donate his organs after execution and I believe that it was the final piece of his plan to be published in the same outlet his journalism hero once worked for. He manipulated Finkel into giving him writing lessons so that he could become a published writer from prison. He knew that he was going to be found guilty but he still wanted to fulfill that one last part of his fantasy: a byline in the NY Times. Longo clearly has a personality disorder where he sees himself as deserving to have life's luxuries and the adoration of people at all costs.
