Nice, more vampire survivors: - Yeah, the bone is a odd weapon. Unique, no upgrade, and really only good if you are already surrounded. I only upgrade it if I have to avoid a new item - Bracer is also what you need to upgrade the knives. On top of buffing projectiles in general. So a good get with the build you had 7:00 I would have taken Spellbinder. Used to upgrade the bible which AFAIK is also projectiles. And it works on runetracer too - Garlic inherently is a early game tool. When the damage is enough to melt enemies as you walk into them. Pretty useless lategame. There is a lifesteal upgrade if you get the heart/max life thing (Pummarola) 13:40 I keep thinking "Gorgon Heads" as name for those enemies 15:20 If you kill death, reportedly it respawns after 1 Minute. Death is supposed to end the level. 17:10 AFAIK luck increasea chance to get a extra item choice on level up and to get bigger chests. The clover accessory is also used to upgrade the cross. - I can onky advise that you try the upgraded Bible. Ideally on one with extra duration or projectiles. It is near useless on low levels. Hard to hit enemies with in mid game. But once upgraded it is Garlic Squared.

If anyone wants to know about how Pentagram interacts with the boss, it doesn't. It could be that it does some heavy amount of damage to the boss, but I managed to get the perfect conditions for it with several resses, laurel to keep me alive, and a bunch of chests built up with everything upgraded & evolved except pentagram. (If you didn't know, every time you upgrade a weapon it immediately fires, though I don't think that happens when you evolve) Long story short, I slammed the Reaper with 5 pentagrams in a row, alongside a heaven sword, magic wand, I think some knives, fire wand, and a bible or something, and it did not die. My guess is that the rosary works the same way, but I don't think I've tried it yet.

Very enjoyable to watch! Scratches that Creeper World itch of “Tom methodically cleans out a lot of small enemies”. The “tiger head” enemies are a bit difficult to make out, they could be little Buers (a goetic demon, lion head surrounded by legs like a wheel (check out the goetic demons they’re great character designs)) or cherubs.

Fun fact, the Empty Tomes do not affect maxed out weapons. Meaning it is better to get max amount of tomes before you evolve your weapons.

There's even more characters and such on the public beta, though I guess it will be in a patch in a couple of days. Really love the new weapon, very pretty. Also the revive doesn't cost that much at first, the cost increases with each purchase, so you want to refund them all and buy most expensive to least.

The fact that headless skeletons appeared in the library stage tells me that this game was mostly inspired by Symphony of the Night, followed by other Castlevania titles. Buer is cool.

If no one has said so before. Weapons only evolve if you have the right trinket for it, axes is the candelabra and knifes is the bracers! You can find lists all over the interwebs for it if you want to know the rest

the weapons and the other ones combine to make super weapons and they only upgrade at chests, also you can have many chests on the ground at the same time.

I curse you for showing this game :) I can't stop playing it. I unlocked almost everything, and now I just need to kill the end boss, but I didn't know how (is it that simple, a rosary?!?). It gulps your time, this game, but is so EXTREMELY SATISFYING!!! Just keep finding this kind of gems, and thanks for this one... o/

Nah you can't kill death yet without cheating. Well, practically anyway. The rosary doesn't work. They'll probably implement some method of doing it in the gamer in a future update.

@@pagatryx5451 I just tried it... Freeze him, then get away enough to freeze them again (I guess every next minute new death appears) . I had the hellfire and heaven sword (I think they do most concentrated damage on one target), hit them twice with the pentagram... I had a revive and was lucky with freezing them. I fought to 3150 and I know now that if this didn't kill death, it's impossible.

@@MeHighLo Apparently you can do it by getting them stuck in the bookshelves and freezing them in the Library map with Laurel but it's more of an exploit than a proper way of killing him.

I used to play Naval action all the time when it was in beta. I also stopped playing once it was released because it changed from PvP to mostly PvE. I didn't realise Tom also played the game.

what you want is to get the Revive item and stack them; each time you revive, death just hits you. but there's a long enough pause where you cant be hurt that you can do damage back to him. I revived 3 times in my last run in the Woods against him.

Laurel + Clock Lancet seem to be the key to killing death. Can't kill you* if you've got layered shields and freeze the bastard in time.

A Lions head surrounded by 5 goat legs that rotate around it like a wheel to walk

I watched a guy who froze death and then lasted long enough for a 2nd death to show before he died. Still not sure if you can or are supposed to kill death.

@@liastaob The way to cheat it (and I think it was the only way for a while) is to change the game files to give a a weapon so much damage it one shots him, or lower his health to basically nothing.

Tom doesn't seem to like choosing the two weapons I rate above all others: Santa Water and King Bible. With the right upgrades, the two of them means you can just stand still while everything dies trying to reach you except maybe the 20 minute and 25 minute bosses.

@Tom hi loved the video, but did you know on the library map the enemies can get stuck on the bookshelves if you hug the shelves just right? doing this i lasted 3 extra minutes fighting death. also every minute or so after the 30 minute mark another death is sent out. While they do seem to take damage i don't know if you can kill them. love your videos and i am enjoying the peglin demo. 😀

Yeah so I think its completely impossible to kill the final boss. I did a build where I had the time clock and laurel at full so I was just freezing him constantly and preventing his hits but eventually it just spawned a second death and they finally killed me after a while

Death's health scales with your level (650K per level your character has when Death spawns), so there's pretty much no way to kill it legitimately rn. It *might* be possible to kill one with full set of revives, laurel, and an obscene enough luck to get a lot of golden chests to finish low level.

Ummmm, you have red death unlocked, and you only unlock red death by killing death, so did you actually kill him or did you cheat? :P

you cant kill death without cheating, all insta-kills do nothing and even the flamer does hardly any damage to it as its health scales a few thousand times by your level. Pretty disappointing NGL, would love a way to actually do it without cheating.

I don't know if Tom knows that if you go left continuously in the library you can get the empty tome for free. You can pick it up even after filling all the equipment slots. The other direction isn't quite as good but its another free item, same applies to the mad forest.
