Something I have also noticed is that Oscar's color scheme is the exact negative of Ozpin's. If you took an image of Oscar and put a negative filter over it, boom. Ozpin. Orange negatives as green, white negatives to black. The pants are a different issue, but voila, Oscar and Ozpin, two sides of the same coin.

Also “The Man with Two Souls” book Blake was reading ended with the two souls battling for control, foreshadowing? Also Professor Ozpin showed no trace of another soul so maybe the “strenuous process” ends with Oscar dying unless they stop Salem.

Well, he did have help; the CRWBY mishmashed the two voices. It's going to be AMAZING later on, too, when Aaron has to get all of Shannon's vocal quirks down pat. Or, Shannon could get all of Aaron's down...or both? Okay, so there are only two characters in the show (so far) that have two voice actors for each of them; Weiss (obviously, Kara's for Weiss' speaking voice and Casey's for the AWESOME, AMAZING singing!) and Ozpin/ Oscar. This is really cool, for both characters!

Crackpot Theory that popped into my head lol: Ozpin and Salem were the Adam and Eve of Remnant. Salem was corrupt and desired immortality(and maybe to become a god) and was able to trick Ozpin in helping her obtain that power, potentially stolen from the gods. Oz could've realized his mistake and attempted to stop her, failing again and upon his failure, was cursed until he could successfully defeat Salem.

Ozpin didn't take them over, the soul that goes into others can only obtain temporary control of the body. The guy probably studied the memories pretty frequently if he had that very mature manurism

My prediction for that is that something will happen at the end of the series, and as a result of them presumably beating Salem, Ozpin is freed from his curse and Oscar is able to live as a normal person without being merged. Ozpin was cursed as a result of not stopping Salem after all, so it'd make sense if he was allowed to rest in peace once she's dead.

Now that I think about it: If Ozpin is more than a thousand years old by transfering his soul, could Salem probably using as similar power? I mean she doesn't seem to be just a human, even though she looks like one. Maybe she was also a human but became corrupted by the real Salem or whatever she was before. Azurai No, he wouldn't. There are two VERY distinct personalities in there. The one showing interest would be Oscar, not Oz. While it could be awkward if things got physical, an emotional relationship would be completely ok, as Oz doesn't control how Oscar feels, thinks, or acts (that last one only if Oscar allows it). I think the poor kid needs someone who'd treat him like Oscar, and not just "Ozpin in a new body", and Ruby could be that. So yeah, I think I do ship RoseGarden!

More like the Avatar. Ozpin and the Maidens pretty much split the aspects of that, the Maidens having the elemental powers, while Ozpin has the soul of an ancient good that fuses with other people and keeps past memories. Both inherit powers when the past user dies.

I think the reason they had Ghira say that it would take 2 months and then Ozpin say 1 month is because the CCT towers are mostly down so information being sent is really slow because i don't see them suddenly cutting a month time skip in the middle of the show like they were doing in the entirety of volume 4 where each character was either a day or 2 difference

Well, Oscar Pines is voiced by Aaron Dismuke, who’s known for being able to play teenagers, hell his first big role was when he was just a boy, I’m talking pre puberty. He was the original voice actor for Alphonse Elric in the 2003 Fullmetal Alchemist, and the subsequent movies like Conqueror of Shambala.
