Damn I had no idea the Murfrees preferred women and children as targets I somehow missed that newspaper Makes the fact that Dutch decided to set up the camp in one of their old caves, while there were women in the gang and a young child, even worse than it already was

The gang was armed to the teeth with some of the best gun slingers of the wild West in the red dead universe I know it sounds awful The idea of camping up there with young women and a child who is literally four years old but I think they were fine

@@chrishilton3626 The gang isn't invincible either, they lost Jack at one point during the story mode to the italian mob, and that bugs me since Dutch was there during the missions where you work to rescue him To me it reads like he was so detached at that point that even after that scare with Jack he didn't so much as consider the risks of setting up camp in the territory of people KNOWN for targeting children and doing horrific things to them All it would have taken is for Jack to walk off without anyone noticing and it could have ended so much worse than him getting kidnapped

​@@MisssZena I agree there. I feel like Dutch was detached at this point but even worse he almost craved the chaos of being challenged. Some part of him wanted people around him to get hurt. Because at this point it was almost a win win for him... If they killed Jack or the women he would both have an excuse to practive violent revenge while simultaneously getting rid of the people who kept him "tame". Without the women and children he could fully steer the gang into what Micah wanted it to be. Wild Outlaws with no Concience or Morals.

Actually, now that makes me realize why Abigail and the other members of the camp seemed to be so much closer to Jack on that chapter, they probably didnt want him to just run off after an animal to never come back.

4:55 I'm so glad this finally got answered. Murfree's can be found in very southern Roanoke Ridge along the state border into Lemoyne and Night Folk can be found in very nothern Bluewater Marsh sometimes dead on the border. I've often wondered if the two groups ever encountered eachother

Not much is really known about them, and they have some of the creepiest and most unsettling chance encounters in the game; they'd be an interesting group to explore, to say the least. I always get the random event with the 2 Xs on the map and the 2 murfrees looting the bodies. Kill them. Friends come. Kill them. And it keeps respawning over and over. Where is the dialogue of them talking about taking over the caves heard? I've never heard it.

I thought the NiteFolk were bad! In Chapter 6 I kept my fully upgraded pump shotty out at all times while in those hills and woods at night! After the flaming wagon they roll down at you from the woods in the dark of night! I was always on high alert from their brutal ambushes! 😨🤠
