UPDATE:1 year and still cranks within the first 2-3 pulls. Probably will buy another when this one finally does bite the dust kzbin.infoUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX . No issues at all. Very happy with it.UPDATE: After 6 months of use and over 70 uses I would still highly recommend this pressure washer. It does vibrate a decent amount but never had it “walk” like others have mentioned. No oil leaks, still seems to run like the day I bought it. Still cranks within 2-3 pulls every time. Very happy with my purchase!Have used it about a dozen times now. Plenty of power, cranks up on 1-2 pulls every time. My only complaint would be I wish it was a little taller to make it easier to walk with it (hits my ankles a lot) and that the two hose connections were a little further apart but it hasn’t caused me any issues. Seems to run a good 1-1/2-2 hrs on a full tank, overall a well built machine and definitely worth the money in my opinion.

Didn't catch it, but did they neutralize the acid before rinsing it off? That and the lack of safety equipment would make me nervous.

I recently had a 1000 sq ft colored bluegray patio and walkway poured, and the patio came out with crazing (map cracks) over 50% of the patio, two tone colors, spotting and brown streaks, pits, a low spot and two different finishes (brushed and smooth), and efflorescence chalky finish. Everything that could go wrong, did. He poured it in 90 degree CA weather after i asked him to wait, he refused. The contractor said he can "fix" it with acid washing. In your opinion, would acid washing make it better or worse? Not only is it not the finish I originally wanted, but I am concerned that the acid wash will only accentuate the problems. I think I'm getting myself into more trouble. In your professional opinion, do you think I should try it?

Our brand new, 12,000$ Tennessee Blue Orchard flagstone patio was completely destroyed when our contractor washed it with a 10% muriatic acid to water wash. What used to be beautiful grey stone has completely changed color and looks like it has peanut butter spread all over it. Never put any kind of acid on natural stone!!!! I hope this comment saves someone from destroying their patio. You've been warned.

I’ve noticed this happens to grey coloured natural stone when washed with acid. Think it brings certain minerals to the surface, I believe they fade out somewhat over time.

Well, the man is mixing a 1\2 a gallon of muriatic acid with 5 gallons of water, so as terribly dangerous as this acid is, it is not so dangerous when significantly diluted. There are many acid based cleaners that are not so dangerous, especially when outside in the open air. Chlorine is another very dangerous chemical when one is exposed to it in a heavily concentrated form. It was used in mustard gas back in WW2 to kill enemy soldiers. However, there are many household cleaners you can buy that have chlorine in them but they are not so dangerous because the chlorine is not so concentrated. People swim in swimming pools that are not dangerous because the chlorine in the water is so diluted--between 1ppm and 3ppm. Also the air inside of indoor pools does usually have a definite presence of chlorine, as can be detected by smell, but the air is not dangerous to breath, according to safety regulations. Just my 2 cents. But after saying all of that, it would still be fine all the same to wear a breathing mask as a precaution.

You really , really have to know what you’re doing , and proper dilution AND. make sure the a very , very x5 good rinse . That being Said, I think it’s way to risky for a high end stone. (No matter what the contractor tells you ) - my opinion . If you’ve decided to go this route , you’d be absolutely crazy to not do a small test area first. (And leave it for a week) . If you google it there a handful of extremely good biodegradable. Cleaners out there . Just watch enough videos until you see most what people recommend the same one .

Fortunately, my DIY center warned me against doing what these guys are doing. The acid strips off any paint that might be on top. It's highly toxic and can cause more harm than good. Should never be used without mask and gloves. DIY had me use Simple Green instead which did the job.
