@@Vballnut2117 yep, it is, and thry can, but if you look closely, the net was shaking before he touched. Murilo could be arguing that it wasnt his forehead touching, but the shake that made it look like he touched, or they could even be arguing that the other team touched before, and thats why the net was shaking.

7 years late but it’s possible that Brazil is arguing that they shouldn’t be able to challenge the net touch from that point in the rally. You’re only supposed to be able to challenge the “last action,” not go back halfway through the rally. That’s why the mid-rally challenge exists (unless it didn’t back then)

2:23 - regardless of the net fault - can the ball be played if it passes beyond the plane of the net outside the antennae ?

If the ball passes outside of the net range between the antennae, you are allowed to pass it back also outside the net range between the antennae, and then pass the ball properly over the net in between the antennae to the other team. It doesn't matter how high the ball goes.

​​@@maconescotland8996I mean just look at the video, they did exactly what I described and the referee didn't call for a fault 😅 So long as the ball passes the net in between the antennae after your allowed three touches, you're good to go. If the ball passes in between the antennae after just one touch, THEN you are not allowed to take it anymore. OUTSIDE the net range in between the antennae, the ball is still in play, even if it flies away from your side of the court. It's written in the official volleyball rules, I'll look up the exact location for you. Edit: It's at 10.1.2 Look up "official fivb rules" or so and you'll find the freely downloadable pdf version of the official volleyball rules. Then scroll down to page 30 or so, where you'll find said rule.

If you look closely is clear that the net moves before he jumps, but the ball is way far... So, its probable that he or the Middle blocker (Brazil) touch the net with their arms before jumping
