Does anyone else wish they brought back Amalgam and just placed it at Tier 4? Amalgam may have been a bit OP, but finding different builds, menagerie in particular, was so much more fun with an Amalgam wild card.

I miss it too. Honestly playing when we had it seemed op but then when they took it out and we played against curator, I see a lot of curators lose before top 4 or just get 4th. I think having it tier 3/4 and making the stats 2/3 instead of 3/4 would make it fairer imo

@@jokerperson1572 Yeah I think just making it a higher tier would be good. It would make going for the Amalgam just a little bit slower so you'd need to be ready to buff it straight away. I think a "wild" card is perfect for this game mode and brings together all the elements that are fun when making a build. The bigger issue was that there were a ton in the pool and they were available early to start buffing right away. A later tier would fix that issue.

I disagree. Everyone would always pick amalgam, every build would have a taunt poisonous divine shield big dude... Not fun

Mr Knarf it’d make it more of a high roll aspect if you made it later tiers though like 4th tier and you need to discover all the buffs that late too. It’d be like murlocs essentially but it could be a helpful minion against murlocs

I think i have around 40 hours in battlegrounds, and i've legitimately never gotten divine shield poison murlocs. I've even had an early megasaur from shifter zerus, then gotten another megasaur later, and neither granted divine shield. womp womp. I've only tried to do it maybe 6 times, but it fails EVERY time for me. The one time i got top 4 with murlocs that just had huge stats (i found 5 bagurgles, 3 of which tripled) I got rolled by the 1st place guy who, you guessed it, had EVEN BETTER murlocs because he had the full shield/poison lol. I hate murlocs dude lol.

I love your quality content for constructed but I feel like I can't give much credit to your decisions when you play at such a mediocre mmr. Deck Doctor, where you play meme decks at legend, is a perfect example of content I like: you use your deck building skills and superior plays to try to make those meme decks work. I learn how to build decks and play the game by watching you. But this? I'm 7200 mmr myself. If you made a different play than I would've, how do I know who's right?

Quelqun x This is not a educational channel so there is no reason to assume Firebat always makes the right plays in Standard or in Battlegrounds. There’s not a lot I or anybody can do about how you Feel when it comes to this, but i would suggest not being too tied up in determining quality of plays or content by which rank/mmr the player has. Each month Firebat plays a whole lot of games in ranks below legend but that doesn’t mean he plays worse in those games. A low mmr can also mean he just haven’t been playing as much battlegrounds as usually the more you play the higher the mmr.
