I Remember James from The Rockford Files, found it hard to believe, at the time, he was in a movie like this. A great veteran actor. To star with Sally Field such a fabulous actress! They defiantly had good chemistry. I eventually got to realize he was more than just Jim Rockford. He was in The Great Escape and a whole host of other films. RIP James and Cory.

My brother lives in Casa Grande, my Cousins live in Florence, we live in far North Phoenix. When they were filming the movie my cousins and Aunt and Uncle were in town watching everything. A casting director came up to my cousins kids the oldest was about 12, they asked them if they wanted to come running around the corner of a building that's all they had to do, Christina the oldest was too shy wouldn't do it. They were going to pay like $500 for them to do it. My Aunt their grandma said "I'll do it!" Hahaha they wanted kids! I've been to Florence many many many times, all times of the day and night, every day of the week, I've never seen anywhere near that many people or cars and any time. After the movie Murphy ' s was still there for a while, we went in and sat at that counter and had a float. It's sad to see how much has changed, it's been many years since we've been there. Thank you for sharing this!

I wish you would have showed us the ranch. I grew up watching this movie with my Mama, it was her favorite movie and now mine. Whenever I have any anxiety in my life I watch it and it calms me down because it reminds me of watching it with my Mom.

This is one of my all time favorite movies. It’s sad they lost the counter in the fire. That counter was supposed to have been the counter in the restaurant Hass Murphy’s in Glendale Az. They had purchased the counter but it wouldn’t fit inside the restaurant so they couldn’t use it. I’m going to have to take the drive to Florence to see all these locations. Great video!!

Thank you Jordan! I lived in Florence for a while during the time they filmed it! Go 10 miles just west of Florence and you will find Coolidge, a place with a lot of Waylon Jennings connections! My kids live in Florence. Nice little area to live!

Did you notice that the window Sally and Corey pass after they leave the cafe is displaying a Pepsi sticker? Hard to believe that Coke let that one get by! This is one of those movies that I have to watch every time its shown on TV - even though I own the DVD! It's just a feel-good movie about a lot of really nice folks. A good one for those times when the news and all the world's problem start getting you down. This one will pick you right back up again! Thanks Jordan.

Great job... This film has been one of our favourites since the 80's when it was shown on cable TV. I still have my old VHS tape where I recorded it from HBO. By the way, it would have been awesome if you could have located where Sally and her son lived in that ranch...

Another fav movie!! Being a RN all my life, I love "chic flics", because I wanted to see happy things when not working. I saw real life and tragedy at work, I did not watch it on TV, or at the movies. I love Sally Field, and James Garner, also!!! I forgot to mention on 4/15/2020. I love this movie. I loved James Gardner. Just an idea, next time you are in Texas, Check out Waxahachie, Tx. Sally Field did the movie "A Place in the Sun" there. A lot of the filming locations are still there. It's still a small town & you can get info from the Waxahachie Museum just downtown across from the court house. They have a flyer of other movies filmed there too. Bonnie and Clyde was filmed in and around Lancaster & Waxahachie. What a loss about the fountain, it was classic green marble.

I just watched this movie as I have some family that lived here and I’ve visited over the years. The building that you thought would be there burned down a few years ago. It was a bar. It was meant to be repaired, but they just tore the whole thing down right before Covid. Pretty neat to see all of these places on film though!

Cool history there, where the Germs, X and many first wave Los Angeles punk bands played their first gigs. Brendan Mullen opened that club in the late 70’s another person that would be interesting to incorporate into that vlog if you were to do it.
