So the top finisher covered 1050 kilometers in 24 hours. To put in perspective that's an average of 43.5 km/h or 26.5 mph. That's pretty spectacular for a human powered vehicle. It would be nice if you would include more details in the description for those of us who might be interested in the application and execution of such an event.

And on a track with turns and lots of area where you need to break and accelerate, on a straight track (or oval track) where you could get a constant speed, I guess the distance in 24h would be even higher.

Each car had about 6-10 riders that would change out. So it was only necessary to carry water and a energy gel or 2 in the car

No not at all. All self run by a couple of teachers and students. Just a really good program that encourages all ability levels to do it

There's a famous cyclist repair person who does this for pro-cyclist, he said, he can't name names, but that there are a lot more top cyclists doing this than people know. This is no different than all the doping scandals going on out there. There's always going to be a group of people that will want to and will find a way to cheat.*

Think first , write later. Yes, the hudges have technologie to find motors you dumbo! They scan the bikes and use tools that measure electromagnetism. Thats how they found the motor inside a womens bike a few years ago. They dont have engines.
