I’m 48 and grew up in Northern NSW, fishing the Gwydir river. As a kid I was always given the job of getting the bait - digging worms for hours and catching yabbies by the hundred. These days we use chicken breast or chicken thigh. It’s fantastic bait and so easy to get.

Hey Robbie, I used to be a big guy too, but I changed, I had to re health. Anyway this worked for me. I stopped drinking booze and fizzy drinks, I went vegetarian (Avocados are your friend), I drank lemon water, slice a lemon and add water, hot or cold. 1 coffee a day. I ate a lot of dairy and eggs, avocado, cucumber and cream cheese. Lots of pasta and rice dishes. lost 30+kg. Didnt increase exercise, but I stayed activeish

LOL 😂 Improvisation at its best love it. I always take with me Inghams Chicken Chippees (LOL that’s my secret bait) not nuggets because I find they are to chunky. I sometimes cut them in half or quarters. I find other brands of Chippees don’t have enough “body” in them. I caught but never got into the boat a huge cod on a piece of chicken Chippees about 10mm long, my gung-ho mate didn’t use the net correctly- head first only. Awesome video

NOT sure about Westernport however, haven't had a chance to try with the prevailing easterlies that blow every arvo, making the penninsula side unfishable most days land based! It would mean driving ALL the way over to the eastern side to get an OFFSHORE wind, that would make it fishable! As to whiting's filleting abilites, yes, pretty darn easy, & easy to debone! Hi mate, well done on your cod. There's no set date for the shrimp, but usually around mid October they start to come on the bite. They definitely don't like the.cold water. The next time your returning fish back in the water, try putting them back in a bit more gentle as throwing them like you do will actually kill them, it won’t kill them straight away but can happen over a day or two.
@robbiefishing2 жыл бұрын
No disrespect mate, but how do I do that from that height? If I walk down to the lower ground then they are out of the water for too long and I risk having my other rod pulled in when I am not there. These fish live in rocky gorge country in both NSW and Victoria when they tumble over ledges and small waterfalls. I've actually jumped into the water from much higher and it's really not that bad.
@guttasnipe47022 жыл бұрын
@@robbiefishing you seem to have every excuse under the sun……have to walk to far……fish out of the water for too long………other rod might get pulled in……it’s got nothing to do with fish tumbling over rocky ledges or water falls…….or you jumping into the water from great heights….. Just put the fish back into the water a bit more gentle and don’t throw them from great heights or they could die it’s not real hard. A lot of fishermen or fisher persons actually hold the fish in the water and get some water through their gills before release. No Disrespect to you or your channel I do actually like watching your videos.
