A Day Murray Cod Fishing - Lake Mulwala

A tough day Murray Cod Fishing at Lake Mulwala. Winter Murray Cod Fishing can be tough at the best of times and it was me on my recent trip to Lake Mulwala. Started the day fishing top surface hoping to catch a Murray Cod early, managed a few boofs but no hook-up, unfortunately. After casting plenty of Murray Cod Loolies around, I managed to find a nice Murray Cod at the 60 mark on a Mag Draft 8-inch which saved me from a donut day.
Lake Mulwala looking amazing once again, took the drone for a flight to share some aerial footage in the video.

Did ok up there recently (9 cod over a couple of days) just trolling and also casting near the edge of weed beds and snags near weed beds. The 80mm Jackal Doozer did ok on the cast. No big ones but still a good time away.

You can really see the amount of timber there must be when the lake is low like that and no wonder the cod thrive. Did you put the AT on the cod that boofed you to see what they did after having a go at your lure?

Hey Brenton. No - dont really pay much attention to the AT when surface fishing. Was just more interested in getting the lure back out there. Thanks for tuning in mate.

How are you hanging the lures on the console with scissors there as well . Great videos Grazza .Also would love to o see more of the Livescope to see what’s ahead of you and see if there are fish about ,like you had an insert screen with the other mulwala vid you did . Keep up the good work . I just picked up lake Eppalock charted waters to put in the lowrance . Still setting it up nearly ready for maiden voyage. Just putting a rear step at rear with ladder just in case I fall overboard I can get back in . What do you use for emergency if you fall overboard . Thanks Maurice
