First trackday with my new engine in Oschersleben. Not my fastest laps ever. I was 2.5 sec faster last year but it was fun anyway. My old engine had more power, but this one rides fine and is stock. Engine braking is stronger with this one, which feels very different and I lose entry speed due to not beeing used to so much engine braking.
Nevertheless I am happy to ride my bike again :D How do you like the sound? ;) Cheers!

The R6 is a track weapon with a mix of skills and the bike itself. A lot of 1000cc riders and riders in general park it in the corners and blast it on the straights because they’re not used to going into a corner with speed. All they know is to brake lean and roll onto the throttle without controlling it through the corner. Not their fault but frustrating for those of us trying to practice good cornering speed and control. Great video man and amazing bike.

@jcur7816
@jcur7816 4 жыл бұрын
coolhari2000 trying to get around someone with inconsistent lines is dangerous. I’ve had people move over on me mid corner or cut in front of me going into one. Be set up before you start your line. Normally I can break later than them but a lot of the time they end up forcing me to break later than what I’m comfortable with and I end up sliding into a corner. I don’t race I do track days and there is a world of difference between novice and intermediate.

Dont think the liter bikes knew there was a race😬 looked like they were just enjoying a track day....and let you pass once they realized you were on there tail. Best to be courteous and let someone on your tail go by. There is always someone faster than you. I had a pro pass me on the outside of a turn like i was parked😂. Dont bring your ego to a track day because there is no prize money. Very cool footage and riding a big motard, i can relate to liter bikes clogging the turns up.

sunger bob well from my very unprofessional opinion I’d like to say that the r6 design is heavy in the front leaving the tail very lightweight and feeling like there’s nothing in the back. This enables it to really dig into corners very comfortably in comparison to other bikes. But once you learn how to handle/manage the rpms on the r6 effectively in respect to the corners you are taking, then you will be able to do some really nice cornering. Ive not tested out the newest model r6 and r1’s is that opinion could possibly change when I do.

What an awesome video! I don't even ride but found myself leaning over into every turn on my couch. Unlike cars, the rider makes a bigger difference than the size of the engine. Great racing line going deep in corners and getting on throttle way before apex. Those guys were totally blocking. Thanks for sharing 👍

One thing that video shows is the definite maneuverability advantage of the R6. On a tight, technical track, that R6 can pretty much dominate.

Yeah, and whenever you crash, you get a new bike, cause you have a whole team to cover you up. That's so much different from when you buy a bike with your own hard earned money and take it on a track. Not denying skills, though.

@@naam92 I usually just gaffer tape it to the rear cowl with the dead cat/ furry wind sock attached so my body blocks out most of the wind and it's close to the exhaust. I also tape the cord to the tank and run it under the seat.
