I'll tell you an honest story, When I first heard of k-pop it was obviously bts and since exo were the rivals I felt like they are bad people that's why bts fans hate that exo in particular so much, and I went with the flow but soon all the bts hype died in me, and I dropped k-pop entirely, then EXO live stages caught my attention, and i m not getting bored at all even in their hiatus, This Lockdown season I dug through k-pop to and realised how great EXO is, cuz nobody is a match idk why but objective reality says the same thing, some of k-pop fans in my neighborhood too agree that Exo is an unrivaled group.

Here is some information that might help you to understand the choreography for EXO's "Monster" better. All the pieces of the choreography were designed to help tell a story. So if you know what you are looking for you will see that each move is done for a very specific reason. If you follow EXO, then you know that the whole concept of the group is that they are supposed to be aliens who are from Planet Exo, and they were sent to Earth on a mission. Each of the members of EXO have a superpower that is unique to them and almost everything that EXO is involved in is part of their storyline and concept. In "Monster" the choreography has been designed to tell their story and it uses elements of their dance to represent several of the members using their powers. D.O. has the power of earth (dirt) which gives him super strength, so during his part in the song and choreography you will see that he waves his hands and the other members are pushed away from him or pulled toward him. Xiumin has the power to control snow/ice/frost, so during one part of the choreography you will see that each of the members pause as if frozen as he moves in front of them. Sehun has the power to control wind, so during his parts, you will see the other members shuffle around him as if they are creating a windstorm. And the part where they are sitting on the ground is supposed to represent a sundial -- EXO gets their power from the eclipse and their powers are affected by planetary and solar phenomenon, so the sundial is meant to represent the passing of time and their connection to the sun. Also if you notice, at the end when they say "creepin', creepin', creeping," the dance move they are doing is called The Creep, from the iconic 1990s American girl group TLC, which was created for TLC's song "Creep." Have you not seen the MV for "Monster"? Because a lot the things, such as Chanyeol jumping over the members, shouldn't be that shocking -- Chanyeol does the exact same thing in the MV and it's actually highlighted in the MV as well. If you haven't seen the MV yet, you really need to. Maybe you just need to go back and rewatch it LOL.:D

As u said, K-pop got everything..right? , but since like few other artist, I dug deep enough into EXO's discography(Albums+solos+osts), and I can safely say, EXO alone is a walking industry, other Grps try too, but they aren't superiorily versatile like EXO, and it's not a bad thing but Versatility is my thing, and EXO is best I could find out of Korea. _Getting a Versatility tag is not as hard as people realize, it's way harder, fan opinions doesn't matter here, when random people admit it, that's when an artist is even qualified for the race to win such a huge Tag, and I believe even EXO's seniors have admitted that EXO is 'A once in a Generation(30yrs approx.)kind of Talented band'_

Also just a little background story since you're becoming an EXO-L now 😄 * So actually EXO has a unique concept since their debut and that's what also makes them different from other groups (besides being the gods of vocals and performance). They are supposed to be aliens coming from EXOPlanet to Earth to protect the Tree of Life and they are being chased by the red force. Each MV is connected to the next. Nothing is random with EXO. Every little detail counts into their initial concept. Also, each one of the members has a superpower that is stuck with them whether for group songs, solo or sub units (for example, KAI's superpower is teleportation and that's why you saw him teleporting in his Mmmh MV). * At first, they were devided into 2 units. EXO-K had 6 members & promoted in Korea, EXO-M had also 6 members & promoted in China, but 3 of them left so EXO was left with 9 members (8 koreans active and 1 chinese (LAY) inactive due to political issues between Korea and China but he's still an EXO member and working on his solo career right now). * EXO-L is the name of the fandom. "L" is the lettre between K & M as in EXO-K and EXO-M, and also because it's stands for "Love". * EXO slogan is "We Are One" and "Let's Love / EXO Saraghanja" which is mostly said by their leader.
